I personally wouldn't want to deal with newegg. Shit customer service and good luck trying to get things resolved if you decide to ship it back for warranty or RMA purposes. They do dodgy as fuck swap and sell with there b-stock or faulty stock and sell it as new. If anything buy from Amazon instead from a seller willing to ship internationally. There is a reason why lots of people don't like dealing with newegg and they've turned more dogshit after some big Chinese company acquisition 2 years ago.
I got 5 EVGAs from newegg 0 issues. Also don't forget there is a reason why I only buy EVGA, international warranty DIRECTLY with EVGA, (it's even in EVGA RMA policy), you dealing directly with EVGA not newegg + global warranty Also, gumtree, good luck, last 5 EVGAs 1080Ti around $1100, I enquire on, had either no receipts or bought from newegg/amazon
I have bought 2 GPUs from newegg without issue. Shipping is fast too via fedex. Both are EVGA so if I have any issues I just RMA them directly to EVGA in taiwan or wherever it is.
That's good that you are dealing with EVGA directly in this case. Having purchased 100's of parts from newegg for the past 8 almost 9 years as I have a physical US address and private proxy service they fucked up a few small orders throughout the early years but I stopped dealing with them after my last order with them which consisted of over $6000 worth of parts consisted of RMA/open box units for other customers years back, never had to deal with such a shit support service. Never again will I ever deal with them, they've sunken lower after the buyout 2 years ago. YMMV, just a heads up with those that want to deal with newegg. RE: gumtree; it is mostly a hit and miss. Sometimes hit gold sometimes you don't.
That's why I only buy EVGA GPUs from newegg Honestly, I would rather buy from local shop, pay bit more, get the service and piece of mind. But not gonna pay $400 on top of $1000 card
My thoughts exactly. There's the Aus Tax that I'm happy to pay then there's the Aus Ripoff Gouge Tax+++ that I refuse to pay.
With the value of bitcoin continuing to climb, i suspect the drought of cards (and high prices) will continue for a while yet.
It definitely seems to be that way unfortunately, hopefully GPU supply will be able to meet demand, and prices can go down a bit

Your links are blocked by paywall just like bitcoin ICO in China . The quicker the prices return to normal the better. It's getting ridiculous.
Wow.....last night it wasn't and then I note the story has been pulled from multiple sources?!? Maybe it was DT News (Fake)..... https://www.cnbc.com/2017/09/04/bitcoin-digital-currency-price-falls-on-china-ico-ban.html
