Moved to a new iPhone, using an iCloud backup from the night before via wifi. Turns out I didn't have Photos included in iCloud (there was a reason aaages ago but I can't remember why now), so none came across. That's fine, found an article that advised to turn on Photos in iCloud on the old phone, saw they'd updated onto iCloud website, so then turned on Photos on new iPhone. Not long later, they'd populated on the new phone - HOWEVER: New iPhone shows 6614 photos/videos. iCloud website shows 6614 photos/videos. Old iPhone shows 8519 photos/videos. Scrolling through, I can clearly see there's some missing, and the numbers under Media Types are different. From a quick look, there may be some discrepancies in how it shows edited videos/bursts on the new phone, but ~1900 items is a lot. It's been >24h on solid wifi, and had Unlimited Mobile Data turned on the new phone. Thoughts? I suspect it's something simple but clearly I'm missing it.
