I have a couple of friends following this closely, apparently they have another $35k from some other funding source. So they're pretty close to that $2 million mark.

Bit less than that. There's 30odd k sitting out there with the RPGCodex and RPGWatch + Paypal that's not registering on the Kickstarter counter. So more like 20 something to go. Going to be close.

if they don't reach it maybe they'll patch it in later once sales start rolling in, or do an enhanced edition like #1

They've made it. $1.98 mill on Kickstarter plus the money from outside Kickstarter puts them over the 2 mill mark. Still 4hrs to go.

I think the first one had more enjoyable combat myself, although you could abuse it a little too much.

At least in the beta it doesn't feel like there is enough variety

Hard to say why i feel it's better. You have more skills available early on, and it doesn't feel like you just do the same shit over & over again which is how i felt with the first one. It became a chore rather than fun.

    Shush, playing.

Just finished the second area and still don't think I got everything after about 60 hours.

Trust me id like to sink a year into this but i dont have the commitment it deserves. Its taken me years to get near the end of the witcher 3...
