Took a break from case modding to knock up a few stands this weekend.

Once i got the orig made up it was just a matter of using the parts as a template to router profile more.

Ive been making then from a simple single bent piece of plex... but the prob was i couldnt charge or transfer with that style.

So far ive managed to knock up 4 with another 4 cut to go. Colours are endless :) The blue and white is for the brother inlaw who's a mad doggies fan.

The originals... Almost embarrassed i made these for so long.....

The new MII versions lift the phones and allow them to be charged

Lifting the phones allows for charge or data

The wife's phone has one of those fold over cases so for her stand ive made the holder section a little wider.

It's always nice to take a break from modding and do fun little side projects like these.

    Cheers D.

    They look great!

Can I make a suggestion and say for when you (excuse my wording I don't know correct terms/words) but the angled triangular piece you have to support the stand itself and connects to the base, could you maybe make 2 of those side to side to allow a gap in the middle to allow a cable to run through the centre of the stand?

So instead of that middle piece being 50% in the middle, have 2 of those at like 45/55% leaving a gap for a cable to run down the middle. Would look really nice for cable management. Hope you can understand what I mean haha. Looking greattttt!!!

Cheers again iMomOx3 , i tried the pass through between the back bracket... but to get the curve in the cord i had to lift the phone holder plate up another 10mm... so to keep it as low as poss heres what i came up with.

Handcrafted, not printed. Defyant is a genius with acrylic.

I'd like a price on a pair of the wallet width version with rear entry cord if these are to be sold. Colours irrelevant, though each stand being coloured differently from the other would be nice for differentiation, as hers is USB-C and mine is USB-Micro.

Ohhh, this looks like a good idea for someone who wanted to run a phone/tablet with streamdeck on OBS. Do you plan to adjust it for mini tablets in the future?
If you could sit them horizontally that would be even better

I use one for my 10" tab stands upright perfect but side ways looks a bit dicky... i knock one up with a shorter back panel and wider holder to suit to see what you think.

You could use something like these to make the cables neater:

I know this would never be cost effective but have you thought of sanding and heat polishing (or just polishing) the edges. Something about the chatter marks on the chamfer on that black stand get my OCD.

That's cause i rip em through on an old bit :) if i go slower it would clean up.

heat(flame) polishing is a pain to do , even with the amount of practice ive had over the years. A good hand polish is more my style  :D :p

    oh they look awesome Defyant
Have you thought about integrating a wireless charging pad?
I bought a slim charging pad from my work and simply double sided taped it to a holder to make a wireless charger.

Have you seen these? There are multiple brands and vendors for them, just Google Qi charger adapter.

You can get them for Iphones, Android, Micro USB, Type C.. whichever you need. The only downside that I can see is that you would need to disconnect them to transfer pix or music via cable.. but I use BT for those things anyway. I plan on buying one each for Eva and myself - her phone is USB C, mine is micro USB but neither have wireless charging or even NFC - and integrating a dual wooden Qi charger into my custom wood case.
