My computer has gone haywire, the windows 10 startup screen flashes and is hard to get into, no internet connection, norton security has expired, can't get a internet connection some of the windows programs don't work. I did load a pc game of disc. Now a little box shows up on windows screen before sign in with memory error. I dont know what is going on.

I just switched the computer back on and everything was working but when i reset the computer it was playing up again....

Get rid of Norton immediately & never install it again. Should solve most of your issues.

Your lucky I'm in a good mood or you'd be getting a paddling for installing that junk on your computer.

Do NOT install any third party virus scammers. Built in Windows defender is all you'll ever need.

Microsoft have years of telemetry off millions (billions?) of PCs. They know how to deploy sufficient antivirus for 99% of the population.

The best antivirus is don't be an idiot and install random things from emails/pirate sources.

    this basically sums it up

i think the whole idea of a virus is tapering off (or we're better protected). when did you honestly last hear of someone getting an actual virus, that buggers your computer for the sake of it. people/scammers have cottened on its far better to do something profitable with ransom ware, which i suppose is a virus, then to just shit on people for the sake of it.

With a little education this should be possible for many and it will keep them safe, but there will always be varying levels of ability and some will always need something in place for their low level abilities and/or thinking.

Agree with all above. Norton is a dangerous bit of kit (shit) in itself. I've been using Windows inbuilt virus protection since Windows 7 and have never had a virus issue. Use something like CCLEAN to remove the program and clean the registry of all of its existence. Norton can cause memory overrun similar to what you describe here.

Windows Defender is in place for low level abilities. Anything else is a complete waste of money/time/computer resources.
