Selected titles, you also need to download the Dolby app on the one s for it to work. You need to see atmos displayed on receiver, it sounds good if you have a 7.1.4 or 5.1.4 setup. In ceilings speakers work best for atmos.

Yeah I just saw that I needed that App when I went digging...

    What's 5.1.4?

    The Xbox One S does.

5 is your speakers, 1 is the sub and 4 is your atmos speakers.

But still only 5 physical speakers right? (I've never heard of 5.1.4 :S)

Depends on the amp, most mid range AV recievers can accept additional power amps to give you more outputs.

But unless you can fit speakers into the roof space, atmos isnt really worth it. Same with 7.1/9.1 or .2 unless the room is huge.

Yeah I can't. Not yet. It'll be something to keep in mind though. I'm going to try and upgrade the current speakers I have before I go buying additional.

Good speakers first. Plenty of options around both new and 2nd hand. I am happy with my Yamaha speakers with Paragrim 12 inch woofer. Though if i bought again i would get SVS speakers/sub.

Windows 10 supports Dolby Atmos now, but switch back to bit stream 7.1 if you're listening to stereo content. I've found my receiver makes the dialogue incredibly boomy with Windows Atmos enabled. Switching back to Stereo isn't available when Windows 10 says the audio is Atmos-only.
