well, it's been reported as being crap so you don't need to play it.

The MP is not bad, the issue is it is dwarfed by how good the SP is and it very quickly becomes NOT the SP experience. If you take it for what it is it's competent but nothing particularly special.

My issue is not with the MP itself my issue is with the MP DLC and specifically the Maps, DOOM multiplayer is not huge and adding DLC specific maps to that divides that, people stop playing specifically because of it, then they bring out another and the same thing happens.

Gating Maps behind money in MP is always a stupid idea and EVEN STUPIDER when you're not a mega-giant like CoD. The weapons and hack modules and other in game things that affect the game adds more stupid on top of that.

Anyone know how long the EB Games sale for DOOM will last?

Before I buy it I have yet to upgrade my graphics card.

Will it run on a GTX660? (I note min specs say 670, but I was hoping...)

Will it run in a window?

Black desktop no icons hidden taskbar and it's still pretty immersive I reckon. 1440x900 on a 1080 screen should dial back the GPU demands sonewhat

Yes, I can play it with a 660ti at 1440p I think you'll have no problems.

Edit: Sorry, apparently I was only running it as 1080p with everything sort of low to medium. Still ran like a dream and still looks damn sexy at that.

Grey market. Stolen credit card keys occasionally. Avoid. Go to dlgamer. Legitimate site, affiliated with several game companies, -28% price at present point in time.

You might have bought it no problem but it doesn't excuse the fact that key retailers like cdkeys will often sell stolen keys purchased on stolen credit card numbers. They will resell the key before the original card owner can file the fraudulent charge claim.

Well anyway, I order DOOM although pickup wasn't available in the store I selected, so I told them to post it, and should have it by Friday.

Then I looked in that shop today and they have it on the shelf. Bastards. :(

All good, I will hopefully be able to kill some space monsters on the weekend...

(I've already killed all the Nazis this week).
