Spent millions on Denuvo DRM and then they left a non-DRM exe in the Bethesda launcher files. :Pirate::D

That's just foul - a store that big was allocated only 3 PC edition copies?

    Somebody had the right idea:lol:

Why are launch games so much more expensive straight from the publisher digitally, or in other online distros like steam than they are in retailers? I'm all onboard for digital libraries but it seems like a bit of a slap to have to pay more when clicking a button at home. Are retailers just taking a loss on launch titles to get people into the store?

In a more on-topic note, 3 hours until I can go home and play the copy I ironically bought on steam  I got plenty of playtime and a few playthroughs out of 2016 so excited for this one.

Absolute Max settings apparently 2080ti holds steady as 150+ fps at 1440.

Love me a well optimised game.

Yet to test but all those on ultra nightmare settings be sure to turn off resolution scaling or it lowers res to keep FPS up. Heres hoping perf still epic with it off.

edit: runs perfect. Early impressions are im not a huge fan of the setting (at least first level). I prefer the tighter areas of Doom (2016).

Also the graphics arent blowing my mind and the world is very static.. cant even break glass etc. Even though enemies visually fall apart etc the guns dont feel as impactful as previous game.

It is very fun though! Cant wait to unlock the grapple thing..

Here is a sweet 1440 wallpaper

I'm dipping into the 90s and 100s with my 2070s on ultra nightmare with my 120hz 3440x1440p screen but I have an old 4790k which might be holding me back. Still smooth so turning off overlays and getting into the action.

Also if you have overlays (especially the steam one it seems) they are causing performance issues at the moment. I had low gpu and cpu usage and a 50-60fps average, fixed by disabling the steam fps overlay.

Well I'll say this much, the game is damn harder than the first on ultra-violence. Not so bad once you get the upgrades going but I can see why the extra lives are in there.

Get the ability that saves you from death first. That thing is invaluable honestly.

Yep! I just finished an UV run of 2016 in the last week and so far Eternal is kicking my arse! And I'm only up to like the third proper level...

The Cultist Base - those snake demon things are fucking me up real bad!
