Hey guys I was wondering what you guys use as a download manager.
I want to be able to set it up to use multiple upload sites : e.g. rapidshare, megauploads, netload.

    What does every1 use.

I have used jdownloader and found it does what I want, but is written in java, is slow, every time requires 100s of updates, and has a bad scheduler.

I have also tried flashget, but found it would only really work with rapidshare.

    What does every1 else use?

    Help appreciated

IDM: One of the few pieces of software I happily paid for. Shouldn't need to say much more than that when I know plenty of cracks exist.

    Free Download Manager with IE8.

Previously I used to use DownloadThemAll with Firefox.

Currently using Jdownloader. Just about to demo IDM. This isn't the first thread I've heard of where people seem to be quite happy to pay for it.

I use flashget with the flashgot plugin for firefox and dont have an worries with rapidshare or megaupload, the problem any download manager may have with them is if the referrer link isn't set then it causes the downloads to fail.

+1, Yep DownThemAll is great when used along side Linkification Addon for firefox.. All you do is right click on the page where all your precious links are, the DTA parses all links, u filter out what u want using extensions and/or keywords, and ur set....alot simpler than it sounds...
Also its got MULTI-PART downloads  Maxing out your connection has never been cooler..
    Oh its Free :D

IDM is by far the best download manager in my experience (and I've tested every dl manager possible)

Being able to resume partially completed downloads later and scheduling downloads for an off peak period are a couple that come to mind.

This is the one feature missing from DownThemAll. The way round it is to install Linkification. This makes all URLs that appear in webpages clickable, including rapidshare links.

Then you can right clcik each link and start the download that way.

Or Go to the tools menu > Downloadthemall Tools > Downthemall...

Then just tick the rapidshare links in the list and start
