    Hi all :)

So I bought some new gear over the last week (some of which only turned up today) and decided to slap it all together and see if it was worth the cash..

I've made a conscious decision to never shoot on camera flash at the track again! Results were very uniform and balanced frame to frame.

Definitely more consistent, bit of a shame about #5 though with only half the helmet lit, but given the position of the flash there isn't much you can do.

I like them a lot, much better than what you get with an on-camera flash, spose its a bit friendlier for the drivers too :)

Hmmm, the lighting of the track from the flash in a couple of the photos kinda spoils them for me.
But still, im sure they are far better than using on-camera flash or no flash at all.

I think another flash or two along the side of the start would even out the light on the track a little more, making it less obvious.

Looks like you're using quite a long lens... How far away from the cars were you? And how "off camera" was your flash? At arm's length, or did you set it up metres away on a stand and hoped noone would steal it...?

Did you have them on stands or did you set them up on the wall?

    Hey Kyle.
The quality of your work never ceases to amaze me. And I agree the results your getting with the off camera flash are outstanding.
