Another confession that the paraphrased dialogue wheel is flawed! Ok, hobby horse ridden. I will wait for more info before I judge. DA2 was very poorly done so I hope it is more like DA:O.
Seems kind of redundant given the ME3 fiasco. Unfortunately heaps of people will eat up and buy the game even though it will most likely suck arse. *sigh* Just give me HL3 so I can play something good.
Am somewhat hopeful for this, because of the impressions the leads were giving from the recent future of DA series forum thread on the bioware forums. Those twitter responses are mostly expected because of the responses and feedback from that thread, etc. They just seemed to have taken the complaints about the series (& and the uprising of the me3 ending) to heart. Plus the game setting - assumedly Orlais - should make for some fantastic art.
I thought with every other series they took what people liked about the original games and removed that. Maybe they get confused between pros and cons!
It's been my experience when developers "listen to the gamers", they don't seem to listen to these gamers: "Dear developer, I, for the most part, enjoyed your latest game. However, I felt that much of the combat was poorly done, as many of the attacks were a bit too powerful for how easy they were to accomplish. And I think the main character wasn't developed fully - I had no understanding, by the end of the game, why he was doing what he was..." ...they listen to these gamers: "lol fukk yea new gaem alright! love to see dat hawt mage chicks ttities agan bro. and put mor blood and gor in it! luv how u can CUT BITHCS HEDZ OFF its wiked sic do more of dat! n MOAR TITTIES AND SECKS!" Spoiler Of course, we know they never fucking listen to gamers or taken any advice on board. It's just free PR!
As much as I hated DA2... I really hope they can learn from those mistakes and turn it around for DA3. It'd be good to see developers go the other way and un-derp their sequels for a change. I want to believe!
Colour me jaded... Bioware are like the new Infinity Ward... take something original and new and slightly change the story line, don't listen to the feedback and flog the horse till it's dead. Original DA:O was good since it was developed as a pc exclusive once it became multiplatform went to shite.
I didn't like DA2 as much as DA:O (or Awakening), but I didn't dislike it. So long as there's no The Fade mission in DA3 I'll probably buy it.
I would like polygamy to be introduced, along with ridable unicorns. On a serious note, I would really love a full dx11 game, and choices that don't have an obvious reaction or consequence. Also, I would like to get the feel of power or notoriety. If your character destroys someone with a single spell or something, it would be cool if the whole city heard about it and would change the way they react towards you, like in Fable; without the clapping and cheering.
Dragon age three confirmed I never played the second one, though I did hear it was pretty bad. I wounder if this could be any better?
