    Yes, I have no VM experience.

    As I stated I want to keep the existing windows installation 'as is' so will grab virtualbox (I think that's the best option to learn as I do also have a non Win Pro computer) and learn about that to fiddle around with different OS's

    Thanks for everyone's input on the matter, it's much appreciated.
