Come Get Some! its fun and its free to play online. Get the "Dukematcher (DM)" launcher here:

    http://www.dukematches.net

Play Duke 3D and Shadow Warrior online vs others. Yes there are still people playing it and its still a lot of fun! Nothing beats a sneaky trip mine kill imo.

There's also a Facebook group. Feel free to join the group if you are keen to Duke. Facebook link is also on the website above.

    Doom > Duke3D

Also I enjoyed Shadow Warrior more than duke.

I got duke free from GoG a month ago. I've been meaning to play it, especially after I configured it to play like a modern day shooter.

    Holo-duke FTW!

if yous havnt heard of it, get the High Res pack for it. updates pretty much the entire engine.

not to todays standard obviously, but its a huge improvement. personally i prefer the original look but its a nice option.

also, the DukePlus mod is pretty epic.

i just got Painkiller: Black off GMG for $2 haha.

Nothing says "I love you" like pipe bombs in the elevator. No game, for the last 15 years, has given me that same satisfaction.

Rise of the Triad was mine. Never really played Duke 3D that much, saw someone else play a tiny bit of the first level when I was a kid and that's it.

Thrashed Duke Nukem 3D with mates in the computer labs at uni until we got busted and had our accounts suspended for a month.

With Dukematcher, you can play Shadow Warrior online deathmatch vs others. I'll update the original post with this info.

There are Dukers still duking it out online. My favourite are the sneaky trip mines that when strategically placed snare a suprise kill.

Anyway you can get Dukematcher to play Duke 3D and Shadow Warrior at the link in the first post.

Quake changed online gaming forever. While Duke was awesome. Quake is the best.

    Never played life's a beach..sounds like fun.

I agree though, i've bought duke3d a few times now. If they integrate multiplayer properly for modern machines/internet then I may consider it at a cheaper price point.

yeah to be honest the only real value in the Megaton edition would be multiplayer.

you can get eDuke now, plus the HIgh Res pack and DukePlus, amongst other mods, and make Duke look pretty awesome for its time, not simple HD textures. a whole engine rework.

plus those things i just mentioned are free.

    http://hrp.duke4.net/

all you need is the free shareware .GRP file, or your original .GRP file that comes off your install disc or your GOG version if you own that.
