Seriously though, I hope it does actually come out some time soon, I loved Duke 3d and I cant wait to play Duke Nukem Forever. (although I've actually been waiting for 11 or so years.) :upset:

Who cares? They've taken so long to deliver that the franchise is dead.

It's now just another FPS, and it'll have to be better than HL/bioshock/FEAR/whatever else for me to buy it.

I wonder if it will ever be released... Sad thing is: I don't care about the graphics engine too much, it's the fun game play and story line that was important with the first one, not the engine, and they have given that as the excuse for not getting it ready for the past decade...
I guess it may be in their, (3DRealms), best interest to keep hyping it - that way it looks as though they have something worth investing in, and they can sell their other games, such as Prey.

Methinks someone is just a wee bit too invested in this game. It's just a game; there are plenty others out there.

Wow. You know, if it existed, and they weren't syphoning the money away mysteriously, you'd think from the look of that video they'd have released a demo. If it like, existed, or something.

I think the problem is nobody knows or cares about Duke Nukem any more. So it's going to have to succeed based on how good it is. Doesn't look promising on that front if it needs so long to be released.

I reckon it'd sell better if there were cd/dvd's inside the box.... Who am I trying to kid I won't be released in my lifetime.

I still remember people upgrading to 300Mhz processor monsters cuz they'd run duke forever. They're gonna be pissed when they find out they still wont be fast enough ;)

With that kind of development time, how many times have they had to re-write the bloody thing?

AFAIK you've had at least 2 generations of processor, a vastly new version of windows - complete with version 10 (soon to be 10.1?) of th API, god knows how many families of GPU etc etc.

lol @ the OP, seriously I'll ONLY believe this game exists when i see a disc, not even the empty box on shelves would convince me, heck these guys had a much better trailer years ago that you can view on Youtube that actually looked like a more fun game and where did that game go?

TO CLARIFY FOR EVERYONE THIS TRAILER IS 10 YEARS OLD AND WAS AT E3 1998

then there was this much cooler trailer from 2001

If that video is supposed to be the new Duke.. Vomit. It looks like something created a millenia ago.
