I am having trouble getting my printer to print two sided correctly. Regardless if I select flip on short edge or on long edge it always comes out printed flipped on the short edge. I have tried a couple of different program to open the PDF file I always end with the same result.

    Please help

Uninstall and Reinstall the printer driver. Brother printers have some strange quirks and that often fixes it.

is this issue only related to pdf's?

I'd be looking at doing this, and also perhaps trying a different driver version.

Yeah I had tried a word document as well as pdf in adobe and edge

I was using the drivers win10 installed, i downloaded the drivers from the brother website and replace the windows default ones and it worked exactly as it should. Thank you

I wonder if there is an updated windows 10 driver. this does happen with initial release drivers occasionally.

    Score!!

No worries mate. I've got a Brother MFC duplex, scanner printer colour everything. Bloody good unit (touch wood), and I've had it going on 5 years odd now.

But every so often (maybe eery 6-12 months) you go to print from one computer and it just sits there. Printer is on, yet shows as offline. Other PC and laptop work fine. Uninstall and reinstall driver and it works again. Several weeks later another computer will have the same issue and a driver reinstall fixes it.

If its a networked printer, it could be routers DHCP has given it another IP address on the network and the computer hasn't been updated with printers new IP address. Either uninstall and reinstall again with driver or you can print of a network status from the printer and then update IP address in printer properties on the affected pc.

Statically assigned IP from the router based on printers MAC address.

Probably just a quirk of the driver then. At least its a easy enough fix.
