Was just looking up the release date of Dying Light 2 only to find out this terrible news. Dying Light 2 has been delayed indefinitely.

The studio, Techland, has stated that the current state of the project does not live up to their expectations and due to that they are pushing it back indefinitely. Techland has stated that they need more time to fulfill their vision for the game and because of that it will not be ready for a Spring 2020 release date (Autumn for us Aussies). While I can't say it's a bad thing I think most of us were looking forward to having the new installment soon.

Here's to hoping that Techland can push this through and make it everything that the original was and more.

The game did seem very ambitious. I don't mind waiting for it.

if it means less compromise i'm all for it, cross gen titles are often held back by the previous generation.

I fall in line with John here where he talks about limitations and design decisions that are made to compensate for the previous generations, and that Jaguar cores are trash.

Rockstar's method is it to release it on the current gen, then release it again on the new gen with the grass slider turned up a bit.

I still can't believe i played GTA V on the PS3. I was so desperate to play it and at the time I had already waited for a long time and there were no other versions besides the 360 that were on the horizon. To be clear I specifically bought a PS3 just to play this and Sony exclusives. Almost all the good stuff ended up getting re-released on PS4.

I personally don't like this business practice, I want cards on the table - this is the line going forward this game is an X Box Series X exclusive - great I'll buy that box thing. Cross gen helps no-one at all as far as I'm concerned and hampers the ambition and scope of the title.

    humm so we might see:

    Xbox Series X = 4k 60fps RTX HDR
    Xbox One X = 4k 30fps HDR
    Xbox One S = 1080p 30fps HDR
    Xbox One = 1080p 30fps SDR

New videocards from nvidia and rtg this year might mean 2020 might finally allow 4k 60fps on pc too?

4k 60 fps for the most part is doable on pc as it is. Unless a bad port.

People are asking for 4k 120fps now

I can wait, but I can't wait at the same time. Looking forward to playing this.

I mean, why would you wanna come up against cyberpunk anyway?

CP2077 was delayed as well, might still have "competing" release dates.

I think that the MP side of DL2 will be given a bit more spit and polish.
Didn't realise that 2-4 player co op was a mode so possibly that need a little more time in the oven.
