Anyone know why I cant do Cas 5 1:1

If I set it at cas 5 bios it reads it sets it as Cas 3, which is why I cant get past 3.85Ghz (using Cas 4) & why I cant boot @ 500fsb. If I could do Cas 5 I think 4Ghz easy as my mem is pretty stable @ 515Mhz doing Cas 5.

I cant change it in MemSet either as it just crashes.

    Any ideas?

    Thx

Vdimm not the issue dude, it's not setting it as Cas 5 in bios. If I select Cas 5 it actually sets it as Cas 3 which is to tight for this mem & its crashing..

I can do Cas 5 on 4:5 no probs, but wont do it 1:1

I have manually set Cas Latency to 5 in bios. As you can see it actually sets it to Cas 3, which is preventing me doing 500+ fsb.

Hmmm... I've been told PCB 2.0 has better memory compatibility, but not why... Perhaps we're dealing here with some sort of mess up in the implementation :/ Perhaps report it to Gigabyte in the hope it's a BIOS issue or fixable in BIOS.

That's a tough one. All depends on how extreme your cooling is I suppose. I know i'd try 1.8v & probably 2v if I had a -100c Cascade.

For smaller Phasers like this one I think 1.6/1.7v should be fairly safe.

My load temps atm should be around 5/10c if that.

    ^^ Thx.

Using 1 stick of Hz. The other one wont go past 480 without becoming extremely unstable.

Pretty sure ram is still the limiting factor.
