I've played them all. Personally I've never given a shit about my score.
Thanks for the explanation.
I had 2x new 5870s in crossfire first 3 months were a nightmare then updates sorted it out
Yeah i get with mates it would be fine, much like any game really. Thing is, i've played every other battlefield on my own and always had a blast. This one was different, granted I didn't get a great amount of time with it, I know when a game hooks me. The maps felt too big for the player count that was on at the time, objectives felt way too far away from each other. Surprisingly I found the graphics to be fairly average but that's okay, it was the gameplay that didn't really feel right. The only thing positive I found was the audio, I enjoyed the sound of the guns, the gunplay was alright too but overall the gameplay just didn't draw me in.
Oh well, I got plenty of other games to enjoy One less to have in the bucket of 'must get to' games hehe
enjoyed the 64 player map, portal seemed abit dead, only 2-3 full servers?
scoreboard is back to some degree, just kills, assists and score for your team (or that i can find).
bf3 for me was "peak battlefield", you can't change my mind..
actually hyped for the bf3 reality mod, videos i've seen look well done
There's a poster in there that sums up everything wrong with the community/gamers.
"I remember telling my gf about how excited i was for bf 2042 an she knows how much i play bf5 and bf4 and two months after its launch How come you never play battlefield? I thought you loved that game you couldn’t stop telling me about it"
Why he's getting so hyped for a video game in the first place?
The same reason people get excited for books/movies/music/anything I am guessing.
I don't feel there is anything wrong with being super excited for a game if its your primary hobby and its a game you think you might love & throw hundreds of hours into.
Plus he would have had a beta to play as well so he's staying hyped despite an actual week of gameplay to decide to stay hyped?
Yeah id be worried if he was still happy after the beta, I lost count of the red flags I saw in that.
Oh come on, how trivial is a scoreboard to implement? and the physics bugs, this is their 6th title in the main line series, they should have these things well and truly locked down.
Its all a combination of game originally being battle royale only, switching mid development and then covid doing its thing to slow production/quality and then the game not getting the 1 year delay it needed like Halo.
There is absolutely zero proof of this.
$49 at jbhifi
hopefully under 40 by end of the month
Not sure but it makes sense, heros instead of classes, no scoreboard, a half baked mini-BR mode that sucks/poorly made.... Even the quips at the end of the match seem more suited to a BR..
Not sure how solid it is but rumors of ex-devs saying it.
Its a conspiracy I can jump on.
He's just latching onto the community narrative for popularity. There's no evidence in anything he's posted to support it and no-one with any actual sources or significants in the gaming industry has confirmed it.
Even if it were true I'm 99% sure his "originally meant to be a battle royale" would actually just one idea that came up in the brainstorming before any actual development was made and the actual development was always a Battlefield game.
EA's executives wouldn't order DICE to make a Battle Royale then turn around for no reason and change it back to a normal Battlefield game but with specialists. I take Hazard Zone as evidence against being a BR game for any significant time. If they had started as a BR game then made it normal, they wouldn't have wasted time on Hazard Zone, it'd just be the BR mode that they supposedly started making then abandoned.
There's no solid evidence of it being BR specifically, but plenty of evidence its actual development time, in it's current incarnation was extremely short. It was in concept stage in early 2020 still, and bunch of the concept artists didn't even join the company until late 2019. Something happend to cause it to pivot from something to what it is now,
Idk what has happended but almost everytime I play a game of this it crashes after 10-20 minutes into the match.. everytime.. its getting worse & worse but every other game is perfectly fine..
Do you get an error? I've had the DX Hung error quite a few times, and a few days ago, even though I didn't get a crash, about half the server all crashed at the same time (I had a couple of buddies who both had it crash).
Did you mean this?
I use to get that. Reinstalled the game, updated drivers & used default GPU settings and I no longer get that eror message. I just get straight crashes to desktop. Also I've been disconnected from a game maybe 3-4 times but it seems to happen alot more often to others so that's also another issue.
