ok well this almost isn't a recipe really.
But its like me ...simple and delicious :)
No doubt this could probably be fancied up a bit for something over the easter break :D

    Makes 8 Mini Croissants

    You will need:
    • 1 sheet of puff pastry
    • jar of nutella
    • icing sugar
    • 1 beaten egg

    What to do:
    • Place your oven on 200 C to come to temperature.
    • Leave out your sheet of puff pastry to defrost for 10 mins.
    • Cut your sheet into quarters & then those quarters into 2 x triangles (halves)
    • use a rolling pin to stretch the triangles out a little bit.

    • Place 1 tsp of nutella (on either of the 2 shorter edges) approx 2 cm from the edge on each portion
    • fold over the edge to cover and seal with your fingers
    • Continue to roll then fold in the edges.
    • Brush with a beaten egg and place in the preheated oven for approx 15 mins or until nicely browned.
    • Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly
    • The nutella will be like lava (i learned this the hard way lol)
    • Serve with some sifted icing sugar on top

Apparently he just likes you?? I think you now have an 'extra-special-friend-for-life'.

Looks pretty awesome for such a simple recipe! Puff pastry is such an easy way of making desert, but everyone thinks that you're incredible.

    well thats a worry then
a decaying corpse that wants me to bugger him gently.
I don't thing OCAU has a forum for that? :D
Agreed on the puff pastry making simple things seemingly look better.
I made an awesome slow cooked beef the other day and plan on using the left overs to make mini 'pot pies' by placing in a ramekin and some puff on top.
    Too awesome!

Man, I love making fro-puff cheat deserts and my girlfirend luuuurves Nutella (who doesn't?). How have I not tried this yet? I could be living the easy life, paid for with delicious nutella-filled pastry.

RETARD, have you tried spreading the nutella across the pastry sheet and rolling it up, or something similar?

Not a good idea BlueRaven :(
As it cooks the Nutella sinks and spreads.
So you kind of need to seal it in as you fold it over and then roll it.
This is 5 mins of prep and your done.
One sheet is plenty and its so easy even i can do it ;)

Well.. if you bugger them vigourously.. they kinda fall apart.

Thread makes me further resent my current diet.

I made these last night for dinner and they were great. Unfortunately I am blonde and couldn't work out for the life of me how to roll them, then after screwing up 4 the lightbulb moment hit and all was well. The retarded ones worked out fine, i.e. they tasted fine, we just ate them in the dark :p

Made these on friday for some dessert with the house mates... I didn't really get how to roll them up properly.. I think my pastry sheets were smaller than normal maybe... but they were all devoured in <1min anyway

    success? :p

brushed with oil instead of egg cos we had none left >.<... might make them with jam instead of nutella for my GF, as she's vegan... i think it should work. Maybe jam + some chocolate sauce made from darkchoc+coconut milk?

Please for the love of Nutella post some pictures on how to roll these things properly! Made these the other night with a mate, we had no idea and ended up mostly with blobs of puff pastry with Nutella leaking out everywhere. My god were they good though.
