Can anyone confirm that Skyrim shows up as $60 through the Steam client?

Is there currently any better place to pre-order, which I will be able to play on day of release? i.e not interested in boxed copies coming from overseas.

    Ozgameshop sent me this ....

Don't care for the map, but I wish they would refund me the $5 rather than offer a voucher

only from the US store, and it works out cheaper due to US-AU conversion and you get it straight away and dont have to go into a store lol. so yeah i think its better to buy from steam :p

Oh yeah, me too. I was just wondering if there were other legit digital stores that are offering it cheaper, like GMG, or Impulse, etc.

much word on the graphical pull this will need?

to me a single GPU is all that needed around the 6950 range for 2560x1440 res.

There are recommended requirements out there but I doubt you'd be able to play the game on high at that res with a 6950.

Should be good, just hope they have employed more than 3 voice actors this time...

Nothing wrong at all, but they only played one character. All the NPC's and quests givers, or the bulk of the people you actually hear in the game all had the same set of voices. which was quite repetitive

So excited about this release. Oblivion opened the world of high end(graphical) PCs to me, way back in 2006. Before then I didn't care much about graphics and frankly I could have played consoles and PCs an thought they were the same - thankyou Beth for showing me see the light.

How long until we see decent GFX mods on www.skyrimnexus.com?
a week? or 24hours after release?
Its a great time to be a RPG gamer.

Are they releasing the Creation Kit on day 1 though? I don't know if they are.

I'd expect some minor graphical mods just hours after the Creation Kit is released and some larger ones (UI, landscape textures, etc) after a few days or weeks.

Definitely. I'd be willing to sacrifice some BF3 time to play this and check out the engine/graphics at that price. Shipping is local from Melb. too which is a plus
