Basically with 2013 coming to an end and 2014 around the corner, I was curious to see where everyone stands on the whole windoze front, so vote away on your PERSONAL main PC, so if you are like me and have multiple PC's with multiple OS's then pick the main computer you use every day!

!!! THIS THREAD DOES NOT INCLUDE UNIX, LINUX, ANDROID OR ANY OTHER NON-WINDOWS FLAVOURS !!!

I'm temporarily without a pc at home, so technically as of this moment Android is my main OS. However I have ordered a Surface Pro 2 which will be my main home computer. Windows 7 at work.

Windows 7. No point in anything else, unless you just have to be different with Apple or Linux just for the sake of it.

Measured in production hours: Linux followed by Android.

[edit] To satisfy the thread requirements, when I do use Windows for about 1% of my job, it's always Server 2008R2.

Close to a Windows 8.1 convert, if my machine needs a rebuild in the coming months it won't be Win7.

Given the audience here would it be beneficial to have a specific *nix style option? Other kind of lumps them in with iOS, Android, etc. Granted they do belong together in one way as both iOS and Android are derivatives however the more granular detail may give the data captured more value.

Except that this is in the Windows forum.

Personally I am on Windows 8 and Server 2008 R2.

I'd never bother with Windows 8, unless I had a touch screen, I couldn't give a rats about Metro UI.

Windows 8.1 on a Lenovo Helix.

Still not the greatest fan of the Metro UI but I'm too lazy to go back to Windows 7.
Was using Linux for the better part of the year but there were a few things that kept bugging me. I work with computers and servers every day at work, the last thing I want to do is get home to tinker some more.

That said, wouldn't mind giving Ubuntu a go on this thing.

Windows 7. I put Win8 on my desktop for a bit, it lasted as long as the update to 8.1, I used it for 10mins and busted out my 7 disc again. The new UI is shit.

Still on Windows 7 on all of my computers. I do have a copy of Windows 8, but, I'm too lazy to install. LOL I'll probably install it when I can download a standalone version of 8.1 ala a service pack. Installing it through the Windows Store is not a good option for me.
