It's most prominent in the first few images, (the trees above the couples heads), but it looks course or maybe even harsh. Not the typical background rendering that I expect to see from dan's shoots.

I see. Specular highlights... yes now i've had a look I understand. I still find it pleasing, but then again comparing that to my 85mm1.2...hhm...well I guess the only thing that's available on the Nikons is the 1.4D or the 1.4G.

 

Yeah it's all just a matter of taste I guess. But I only asked cos I suspected it was a new/different lens that dan had used here.

Yeah a dose of NR would help smooth it out but when you're shooting for crust, it doesn't really matter as long as the customer is happy.

All my booked clients know what to expect in terms of the final deliverables. The style, grain, toning etc is what they book me for. My awesome looks, manboobs and protruding belly are just perks. Perks. *giggles*
