Check it for those that need it
Guys a bit of a tool but it does make for entertaining viewing.
Pussy Gaga, Ho...
What is this? Is it a full, working version of lightroom? Too good to be true?
1000D > 50D > 7D > 5D > 5D2.
Had the 1000D for about 3.5 years.
The others about 6 months each!
I think it is a full working version of it, but the licence will 'expire' when the final release comes out.
agreed. and they try to copy top gear too much. big fail though.
Do y'all think the price will drop much in the next 3 months, or is it likely to stay at the current prices for a while?
I thought stock was limited right now? Maybe wait another year.
I can walk into a store tomorrow and its sitting on the shelf. Might be sooner for the price drop. My d800 on the other hand, I might have it next year.
Interesting because I know people that are still waiting on one from B&H. Their backorders must have been gigantic.
Well that's true, i recently walked into JB and picked up an Asus transformer prime off the shelf practically a week after it arrived, but people in the portables thread were all waiting for their preorders/backorders (2 month wait).
Just advising in case people haven't seen... There appears to be a light leak from the top lcd screen into the light meter on the 5D3.
Not by enough that its worth waiting.
If you are talking about the issue with P mode metering, how often do you shoot in P mode? I don't think I would notice if they removed P mode from my camera.
If there really is a light leak, surely it would affect the meter in any mode?
One would presume it's only an issue if metering with the top LCD backlight on (or maybe with direct overhead sun shining through the LCD).
Hopefully Canon quietly fix the production issue and offer all the early adopters a free service...better now than later.
(I think the P mode thing is a red herring, it's just about being able to obviously see the exposure change when you hit the backlight button)
Oh look, more so called 'issues' that people are trying to kick up a stink with that really don't make any difference.
I just tried the same technique that all the videos floating around the place use, and I don't see any 'issue' (in p, av or tv mode) and in practice I haven't seen any issues with metering at all (was using AV a bit lately because I cbfed being in manual mode when the light was changing a lot - bush walking and what not).
Don't make a difference? DON'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!??? Dear god, how are people meant to take photo's at all with this kind of issue. It renders the camera utterly useless!!!!!!!
It's no more than an expensive paper weight now!!!
