www.transdirect.com.au = problem fixed
Postage is only 55ish so thats no problem.
Time for another update before i get back to work on it tonight!
Well the back side panel is getting done, backplated green. Still missing a piece, ill cut that tonight.
Got clamps? I want more to be honest, you can never have enough clamps. This is the res being glued together.
Front bit done, now to glue the other parts.
Pics galore, I really want to see what this thing will look like with water flowing through it. It may look sealed but once theres a bit of pressure in there, the glue wont be able to hold it. I got silicon though so ill be applying that before leak testing.
Are worried much about scratching and stuff? Plastics aren't normally very scratch/mark resistant.
Looking awesome mate!
Can't wait to see more.
I can see this case being a nightmare to keep it looking nice. Especially the black, it will be so scratchable it won't be funny. Maybe a protective layer could be sprayed on (clear sealant) not sure, but I agree with your concerns especially the darker perspex.
I'm wondering how this case will actually look.
Not really, the res will be sealed with a clear perspex ontop which I have yet to cut and once installed, its unlikely that any scratches will get on it.
Ah in time, the final shape has yet to come out. Some scratches will get on the case over time but they wont be noticable.
It looks like you started off cutting involute profiles for the gears, but then ended up with the sharp triangular teeth in the final shots. Any particular reason why you changed the tooth profile?
I can't imagine it being an issue, not talking any serious stresses there.
It was actually a problem with the dxf file, in autocad it looks like a cog but the dxf took the frames needed to create the cog shape and cut them.
If the door doesnt roll properly, ill have to redraw the cogs so that they cut properly.
Chemical How much did this case cost you ?
will be revealed at the end
Whats going inside it (i.e. the guts)?

Since it is being water cooled I assume the cpu won't be at stock or is it? (Otherwise I think it would be a waste)

Any pictures of the full case?
