So Perth had an absolute epic storm this afternoon the worst in 50years apparently.

120,000 homes without power, flash flooding, hail storms the size of tennis balls, mudslides, cars, schools and houses damaged you name it happened.

So I went chasing lighting. I couldn't get any photos of it after spending 2 and half hours in the rain so your going to have to settle for these.

    As the clouds opened:

    Then the EPIC sunset:

There was lightning just out of frame at the time this was shot.

    Edit:
Due to popular demand here are some 1920x1280 wallpaper sized images:

Epic sunset is fucking epic. Any chance of the original size?

I like the colours in the field as well.

#1 and #3. Surreal. Epic doesn't do it justice at all.

Does anyone else see a giant donut in the first one? :Paranoid:
*imagines giant Homer reaching for said donut* <- Photoshop opportunity!

Love the 3rd one, what (if any) PP did you do?

Nice pictures, got pounded by tennis ball size hail chunks on the way to footy training, lucky though, no breaks!

Storm in a teacup compared to the storms we copped here in Melbourne a few weeks ago.
Great pictures though especially number 3 :)

Thanks, I think going to up the hills overlooking the city would of been awesome.

    Yeah, its been a while

    We need to catch up.

I'll give you a desktop size if you would like?

    Sure thing, what size?

It's rain drops on the lens, I'll need clean up the image later.

As for PP on the third one, there was just slight tweaks to the contrast and saturation. Most of it was done in camera with filters.

And thanks to everyone else for looking

not really when we get a storm like this once in a blue moon not every month like the east coast .

we suffered about $60K of damage at work and i had my fences blown down at home
