This is looking amazing. The weapons mod stuff looks complex. This game will have a pretty steep learning curve.
I pre-ordered and have been playing the Alpha. Honestly, this is going to be a great game. Brutally hard tho and be prepaid to lose everything that you went into the level with. This is no Battelfield run and gun... this is tactical and the sense of achievement when you escape is awesome! As for the people asking about the weapons mods... please watch this video.
They had a 30% off preorder special not long ago. I missed it. I'll preorder anyway. I've been watching more and more alpha gameplay vids and I think this is going to be the ultimate game for me. No Rambo, a shit tonne of customisations, and unforgiving. No sprint to crouch or sprint to prone bullshit. The customisations alone fcking wowed me. The optimisation seems to be really on point as there's plenty of word that even on alpha the game runs very nicely. So many people asking for this on the console and I hope it doesn't go that path, they'll just fuck us PC players up.
In the frequently asked questions is state that its a PC game first. straight from there website... Will the game be PC-exclusive or there is going to be a console release as well? We are considering a release on consoles, however, the game is “PC first”, there is going to be no feature compromise.
Yeap, freaking brilliant. I don't know whether it'll be a financially viable move to make it available in consoles. This game does not and will not appeal to the typical COD playerbase out there. It'd be pretty tough as a player, to be getting used to the customisation of gear with the standard controllers.
I don't see what you guys seeing. How is it different from ARMA if you are after a hardcore tactical shooter? Weapon mods is nice but looks like a gimmick that will wear off quick enough.
Have you ever played arma? Basically its not similar at all.. in any way. Arma is clunky as fuck and a war simulator, this is nothing of the sort.

Yes, I have. The third installation is one of the worst purchases I ever made with whooping 6 hours played and you can play heaps of scenarios including the ones similar to Tarkov. It's just boring playing with randoms with a steep lurning curve and I can't see how this game is different in that regard but hey, I could be wrong.
