That was before the netcode updates. At that point in time everyone was raging about desync already, the video just lit a fire under their asses to fix it, thank god.

It's still nowhere near a custom 128tick csgo server, but nothing is these days, and cs netcode had its own issues that tickrate didn't make up for. I get annoyed about bendy bullets less in tarkov now than I do in both fortnite and pubg though. I don't think it is because they have better netcode, I think it is just because the pacing and style of the game means that netcode impacts it less.

We'll see if I feel the same way once the insane aimpunch is reduced with the coming patch though.

cool, now you have an answer. me i will keep playing it.

i dont get that lag happening very much at all when im playing, maybe once a night, its also server dependent and country dependent but you would know that, if you want to base your opinion on that video then go for it. i know americans were having issues due to too many people on there servers but they were talking about putting more servers in around the world.

personally for me, the game is great, netcode is fine considering where there at in the dev process which there constantly working on. it is a beta after all, ive seen many games get a full release in much worse condition, some of those games i know you have bought yourself.
i suggest you dont get it seeing as your a netcode fanboi, come back in 3 years when no ones playing it and the servers have a 0.00000000ms response time for you.

but anyone else who wants to play a great hardcore fps shooter that will get your heart pumping harder then anything you have played in your life then give this a go. you wont be disappointed.

So this game requires another steam-like client or just a straight out install with a CD key activation?

It has its own downloader/installer/patcher app. It isn't like steam or origin with a million tabs and integrated stuff. It is just a single panel with an update/play button and some news feed.

You make a profile on the website, then activate your key on the profile.

My problem with the game is that it runs like shit..even on my PC (Ryzen 5 1600 / EVGA 1080ti).. my son plays it and he has an Intel based PC with an AMD card and it runs smooth as silk.

    Even on low settings im getting 30 - 40 fps..sometimes 60 or 70

I'm guessing they haven't done the AI/Pathing pass on the map yet.

Start with the Standard edition. That way you can get your feet wet. If you don't enjoy the game, you haven't really lost much. If you find after a while, you can "upgrade" your account.

So this game is really not noob friendly lol.

Second game in and I wasted a bunch of dudes, have no idea if they are AI or players. Are there AI when playing as a scav? Running around the entire map trying to find extraction points? What the fuck do they look like? lol

    So are these real players?
