Lucky not 43 degrees like we had over here. We had a very hot period Christmas Eve to today. 41+ lol and today cool down to 35 degree. It was a stinker on Christmas day 43+ degrees.

That’s axlctially pretty neat. My amd 2gpu rig really sits hot on these hotter days. Get to 70-71. I have a big fan I’ve put on it and it comes down 5-6 degrees. Still to install room airflow out the window

sold off a 5700xt that seemed to be a bit of a power hog
    picked up a 3060v1 for $250 less

seems like it should be better post merge if i decide to keep mining after that on non-eth algos

How do you tell if a 3070 is LHR or not? I Googled the model and it says nothing so do I assume it's from before LHR was a thing? The owner doesn't know ....

    :/

I turned off my hdd's for a different reason, just gotta get an ssd for the system i want to run them off then its back on again ( was tired of fucking with the system/restarting it etc when it has most of my ETH mining cards on it as well )

My cards are all near the top end for efficiency so i'm not fussed 1 way or the other, crypto winter is coming.

Mines been off for a week because I needed the PSU for something else .

Debating turning it back on seeing it's only a 1070 and 1660 Super so it wasn't making a whole hell of a lot as it was, was only getting around $3 - $4 a day and it costs me $1 a day to run it.

Depends if your mining to hold or mining to sell, i'm mining to hold long term so the fluctuations are irrelevant as long as i keep paying the electricity ( which Solar covers a big chunk of anyways )

wish i had solar to offset the power but still profitable enough to keep mining
Once Eth merge happens that may change unless other coins prices go up

tossing up between a FHR 3060 card and the acer 3060 deal (again)
    Both priced similar
desktop card does more MH but more power, and the heat factor means its probably gonna cook on any other coin
laptop less MH but less power, and may hold resale better if the floor drops out of GPU's (since its a whole computer)

    Decisions!

At $1100 i'd get the laptop, far more useful in general, should hold better value, isn't restricted to having to run old drivers etc if you wanna game on it as well.

Downside is slightly lower mh output of around the 42mh but still pretty decent for the power usage.

yeah all logical points, the noise on them is a bastard and only a few more months of Eth - i dont think the cooling would cope well with other algo's but who knows.
May grab another then sell off one of the Dell's as they are higher priced
