I guess anyone considering a highend board from EVGA might as well wait for this revision to hit the streets in Australia..can't see any other improvments.

They also added more power to the pci-e due to some classified boards melting at the 24pin when using multiple power hungry cards.

About time they put a fan on that POS nb cooler. who ever heard of a passive NB cooler on an enthusiast class board anyway?

Rampage 3 Extreme has one too. I wish I could put the lager HS + fan on mine but it isn't possible due to my cpu cooler.

whoever heard of anyone using high end air/water and not cooling the surrounding cpu areas like they get cooled with a stock air cooler.

when you remove the airflow over the chipset and mosfet areas and complain they overheat im not sure what ya doing...

really? duh. even when i was testing with air it was unsatisfactory. you can find many rant threads about the evga NB cooler even with air cooling. without the small fan, it sucks, period. evga has a thread dedicated to it. they got bashed pretty roundly which is why this one includes a fan.

i have a full board block, of course.

Its the main reason so many Classy's were sold on here a while back and all switched to the rampage very fast. If anything the little fan will be a noise issue and this board is for the water unfortunately if you going to push it.

Still lacking the f/panel USB3 headers. Puts me off straight away...

More SATA3 ports would be nice

There is only one company i've seen that does front panel USB 3.0 headers on the board itself, and that's Asrock.

Yeah, I have noticed Asrock was the first one to bring it out but Asus claims to be the first?

Gonna myself a Asus X58 Sabertooth until something that fulfil all my needs comes out, possibly Rampage IV if Asus do plan on releasing it...

    Not a fan of Asrock.

Knew i saw another company recently, just couldn't think of the name :(

As for them claiming "first" on it, maybe its just in relation to Gigabyte, as that would be their main competitor that they go back and forth with.

Still both companies use their own IO panel and does not use existing USB 3.0 connectors found in cases.

Anyway, with relation to this motherboard i think EVGA took a bit too long to get this product out, without enough changes for most existing users to upgrade..considering you can buy add-in cards that offer similar additions for those that really want USB 3.0 and SATA 6.0
