Extreme Cooling IRC channel

An Extreme Cooling IRC channel is open on oz.org
To participate you need to:

1) Get yourself an IRC client. For windows users the most popular free client is mIRC . Another popular client is BitchX and it's available for Linux, too.

2) Using your client software, connect to an oz.org server. Oz.org is not the most reliable network in the universe, and sometimes people have trouble connecting to servers. Try a few, for example:

* client.oz.org (try this one first)
* aussie.sydney.oz.org
* channels.oz.org
* router.oz.org

3) Once you've connected to a server, type "/join #excooling" and there we are!

Keep in mind that spamming, flooding, being abusive or otherwise being an idiot will get you kicked or banned if you persist.

'Z' registration for the channel has been submitted. Sometime in the next 2 weeks the rego should be confirmed. Lets hope so anyway.

The channel has now been registered, we are a proper channel on oz.org now. If you want the channel to grow, come in and IDLE. If you leave because there is no conversation, there won't ever be conversation.

So that's how it goes, stay in the channel. If there are 20 people in there idling and one person starts a conversation, there are 19 other people there to reply. If there are only 2 people there to reply it's not gonna work. Come in and say hello, it's an quick and easy way to run your questions by some fellow EC members.

 

btw, dont be rude to Narc, he owns the channel.

For IRC clients, the chatzilla beta for Mozilla is pretty nice.

 

The channel has grown significantly when compared to the early days. Great time to pop by and ask questions.
