Judging by that trailer, it doesnt look to be a graphical powerhouse....but neither were FO3 and NV when they first released.

I'm sure we will see more at E3 though along with a release date.

I can't wait until they release details of the Collector's Edition. That's the only copy I'll be buying..............then later they'll release a Premium Edition...*sigh* here's my CC........then later again the GOTY Edition...*sigh* here's my CC...:D

Better be full of some awesome goodies!

I'm actually torn, I really wanna play it immediately but Bethesda have a habit of releasing some fairly good DLC after the fact.

The DLC for FO3 was pretty amazing (esp 'The Pitt' & 'Point Lookout' -- which were almost standalone games in themselves)

The DLC for NV wasn't anywhere near as good...with the exception of 'Old World Blues'

agree, and here's the thing I played both 3 and NV after all the DLC came out and as such they were essentially just "part of the game". It makes the DLC worthwhile imo.

having said that every bit of DLC for Skyrim was shit.

Id rather a good 2009 game than another pretty POS COD or battlefield game.

Looking at that graphics, I am quite sure that my GTX670 SLI can handle it well. Looks like Rage for all purposes, so will probably have similar graphical requirements. 2009 graphics is fine as long as the story and the pacing of it is awesome.

FNV was done by the original Holy Trinity, after all - Avellone, Urquhart, and Sawyer.

I found FO3's plot to be way too video-game-generic for a Fallout game. Ultimately, it comes down to two options: do good, or do slightly-less-good. The main plot is incredibly linear, and nowhere near weird enough to be a proper Fallout game.

However, Bethesda did do better environments.

My preference was always to have Obsidian do the stories and mission design, and Bethesda to make the map...but I guess you can't have everything.

Wanna know something else? I'll be playing it at 1680 x1050. On a 60hz-max monitor .

Looks like it's using id Tech 5 to me so it should run well on just about anything.

Went for a test ride on a new R 1200 GS Adventure yesterday and this news has made me even happier.

As lithos pointed out, Obsidian doing the story line would have been the preference, but hopefully Bethesda recognise the requirement to at least match FNV in terms of story development.

Too bad their Australia tax is even greater than steams.

$59.95 for rest of the world
    $89.95 for Australia.

Yeah it looks okay to me but I can still see their damn engine under it all which immediately makes me expect terrible wooden animations and dumb as shit AI and a game that just doesn't quite feel connected and rather floaty.

I always hope for changes to the damage system so items like power armour operate like the isometric variants in which they absorb damage so shit like a 9mm cannot even wound somebody unless you ping them in the eyes.

EDIT: I want to feel the snappiness and tight controls of id Tech 5 from rage with the expansiveness of Gamebryo. The Bethesda just can't stop doing the CoD thing where they add more layers to their engine but deep down it still feels like an old Quake engine.
