Opted in to beta, downloaded textures, but looks the same I can't see the launcher option to enable/disable high-res.
Click to view full size! OK BOIS WE ARE BACK IN BIDNASS. Let me know of any locations you'd like to see changes in specifically, else I'll just go random places across the map I'll start posting at around 5.
just played for a couple of hours, have it maxed out on every setting, using my 1060 seemed fine no real slowdown, does look nice, though i cant remember what it looked like before. makes me want to play it more too, ive been putting it off, im only lvl 23 and havnt really progressed heaps in the game. someone said build some water purifiers in my town, what does it get me, built 2 at the river and put power to them, then what?
It gives you purified waters, which are worth caps + happiness to your settlers. My sanctuary has 80+ purifiers of various sorts. It nets me around 1400 purified water every day, which I can sell for over $10,000 caps. I store them in a separate container so that they continue to appear in the workbench (under aid). In my container I currently have 25,424 purified water. If you have the barter skills, they are worth even more I use them to buy ammo (use strong back perk to carry and fast travel with all of them at once lol)
So build a water purifier and then purified water cans show up in workbench? Sorry, first replay since the game was released, dumb questions inbound
Excess ones do yes, when you're in the building screen that tells you the water/food/settlers/defense numbers subtract the settlers number from the water number and that's how many purified waters you should get every...20 minutes? I'm not sure on the exact time period and they'll just show up in the workbench yes. Food/farms do the same thing though it's WAY harder and nowhere near as profitable to grow buttloads of excess food.
OK so I can't figure out how to simply enable / disable the texture pack so I'm hesitant to do so. However I've run all around the corvega and I can't make it go below 60 no matter what I do. The graphic quality increase is very noticeable I'm playing max everything (god rays included) at 1440p. rig in sig.
i dot know if the images show anything but this was when i cpould think to take a few screens i guess for comparison the bottom two was before the patch
It finally finished downloading: first impressions playing at 4k on rig in sig VRAM usages has gone up from like 3.8GB to close to 6GB no obvious dropping/lowering of FPS overall more stable FPS Draw distance seems to be improved, stuff renders as something instead of a giant box further away Cars and containers and world items look much better Dog meat looks better seems to have fixed retarded LOD texture problems where it would go to a good one, look away, look back and its stuck at potato texture. Overall looks better and less of a blurry mess god rays cause less of a performance hit God rays much better (maybe coincidence?) Shadows aren't like saws any more (maybe coincidence?) https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B9k1oNXC2HoiQWFnYk5KUzNKc1E me hitting screenshot in places that looked good Vault 1080 looks even better, but also kills FPS even more
once i downloaded the texture pack it took me a few minutes to see the difference, but then i could see subtple differences everywhere. weapons and power armour looks very nice now old rusty power armour and plasma gun looking fine combat shotty and supressor looking crispy again but then i played with another power armour set with a downloaded skin and just wow
The texture pack looks like it's done some nice changes and fixed some issues. @illusionist2002 that power armour skin screen shot looks awesome, it would be even more impressive looking moving around in the game. What was the skins name?
its a combo of 2 things, spoiler for mechanist story (not really but never know) Spoiler 1 the tesla power armour parts from doing the mechanist dlc story one of the bad guys has the power armour and 2 the paintjob / etched camo is T-60 skull gorilla suit
the texture pack works ok with my 780ti...game looks alot better, running ultra at 1440p. The game does freeze and lock on me sometimes though...but its manageable. game lags (stutters alittle) in some areas also..but im guessing this just my gfx card as this was designed for a 1080...780ti still going strong
I want to download this texture pack and give it a go, but only have 28GB of free space on my SSD... Gonna need to buy another SSD to play this again Does anyone know if this texture pack is just for vanilla FO4, or does it also increase all the textures for the DLC areas like nukaworld and farharbour? cause if it does, im so ordering another SSD next pay
Anyone want to copy there texture pack installed fallout steam files onto a hard for me if I pay for postage? On a pleb tier 100gig a month limit
