I'm not ruling this out yet because if well implemented, it could be an excellent game. The biggest problem is not having the time to devote.

Watching the recently released gameplay it looks worse then I was expecting tbh.
The map might be huge but was pretty boring and generic looking.
Performance was terrible considering the game looked worse then fallout4 to my eyes.

Still have not got a code from AA. Getting ready to cancel the orders I made with them and try JB HiFi.

Just cancelled one of the orders and immediately ordered it again to see if I can get the code on a new order. Not sure if I am getting the code yet, but it did take $10 off (promotion?) and I have one ordered for $59 now.

remember when game companies released demo's for you to try before you went and purchased the game........ now they expect you to buy the game just to get what is basically a demo....

It's worse than that Jim, it's for a chance to try out the demo.

Might be the smart option I think!
Besides RDR2 comes out soon and I’ll be busy playing that for ages anyways.

Not sure how the Fallout beta is gonna work if it’s only running for certain hours of the day? We will no doubt get fucked over in our time zone. Considering the beta starts middle of the week and random hours I might not even be able to give it a quick try.

I do wonder if Publishers count all of the pre-orders which were then cancelled just to get the beta code in their numbers to buff them up.

If you don’t get your code in next few days you can have mine I don’t think I will get time to try it.

I've got the xbone client installed, doesn't go live to 9am tomorrow for four hours. That will come in handy while I'm at work :p

Yeah I didn't find it anywhere cheap so I just paid for it on Bethstore.

So can we assume Amazon Australia don't give out beta codes?

Still trying to get one off them, but not looking like they will. I think that is why they went with their own special edition with collectable pins for the same price of $69.

I went ahead and put a $30 deposit on the Tricentennial Edition to get B.E.T.A. access from EB Games, I can get a decent discount from them anyway so it should bring the price down to similar lower prices. I'm not exactly worried on what the game will be like (I've done enough research and watched plenty of gameplay footage) but I'm actually pretty worried on how my shitty Optus ADSL2+ going to handle it. I've had some pretty bad experiences recently playing some online multi-player games so I've set my expectations down to absolute minimum.

PS: My B.E.T.A. code was emailed almost immediately, as soon as I pre-ordered it in-store at EB Games (since I'm an EB World Member), but it was slotted into the "Promotions" folder in my Gmail account so I didn't see it until today. Make sure you check all your folders, including spam ones, as it's an auto-mated email.

Just to clear it up, with Amazon Australia, this is the message I got earlier this week:

One of the earlier inquiries told me I would get the BETA code two days after the pre-order, which obviously did not happen ;)

BTW Amazon Australia has its own message centre in your account information, so no junk email problems.

I think people have been nagging them about this, me for one, and they finally have put up information about the BETA :)
