Yong got his PA edition, literally for free though

And he was pretty happy (albeit bewildered) about receiving it. Lucky bastard was bagging the game already then and got a PA edition sent to him from Bethesda for no apparent reason.

Hey, don't get me wrong... I fully recognise he's banging the clickbait drum pretty hard with those title cards, it's his job man.

Still getting plenty of radiated warmth off this particular fire though, sad as I am to see what Bethesda has become.

I even got stuck on the path of making my own mods at one stage... no fucking point to that now, they'll lock all of that down or put it behind paywalls shortly, mark my words. They've fallen off the wagon into the ditch of "Ultimate Shareholder Returns"... ain't no coming back from that, history supports this.

Well Fo76 seems like it's on the right path in terms of getting it's shit together, still an incredibly broken game, mind you, but the past few patches have slowly began to fix the most impertinent issues (ie; damage and network stability). I'd say it's at least still a solid month or so before it's out of this current, broken state, but hopefully that'll be sooner, rather than later.

Again, I only paid $50 for this game on release (and got a 2nd copy of it for free), so I'm not as butthurt as those that paid full (and even greater) prices.

I'm having fun, despite all the problems.

Are you getting the many server disconnects I am getting, even after the last patch and server maintenance.

Get 5 minutes of "Server Not Responding, Controls have been temporarily disabled," then eventually get kicked from the server. A lot of times unplayable and very frustrating. Does not just happen after a nuke is set off, can happen anytime.

Only on consoles because of trophies and achievements, but no real way to see the player count on PC.

Not as many as before, but yeah I'm still getting them.

Picked this up cheap yesterday at JB Hifi as a joke/get angry present for my brother so he has something to physically open on Xmas day, he's really going to be getting Hitman 2 on Steam but his gf and I thought F76 would be a good giggle.

Wouldn't it have been cheaper to just print out the cover and put it in a dvd cover??

Then just burn a fallout porno and put that on the disc

I'm not that sick and depraved. This way he'll think I'm being serious.

Play it straight and video it. Post results to youtube pls. :D

I'm glad that some people are getting some enjoyment out of the game, but fuck me... y'all have got more patience than I do, that's for sure.

    If I weren't playing Fo76, I'd probably still be playing Fo4 lol

Only other game I've wanted to play is RDR2, but again, I'll wait for that come to come out for PC in the next year or so.

I watched that DF video on the graphics for this game, am I alone in thinking it looks pretty shit for a 2018 release? Like it really doesn't look that much nicer than Borderlands 2 and looks far worse than Destiny 2 (just the two latest games I've been playing).

Yeah doesn't look much different than a slightly modded Fo4, but to get the best experience, you gotta turn off the overzealous fake Bokeh (thank Todd for the DoF slider). But I guess the world/map design is so much better than Fo4 though. Just a shame it's still got dated graphics.

PS: Finally got my grubby mitts on a Two-shot/Explosive Pump Action Shotgun. Time to turn the SBQ into paste >:D

Be sure to pick up all them phat lootz once you've done so... :p ;)

I would be all over a singleplayer-RPG PC version of FO76 based on that map/gameworld like a shot.
Modders would fix the graphical and gameplay bugs in under a month, I guarantee it.
And add back in all the missing NPC content if Bethesda CBF doing it themselves.
And add a bunch more content worth exploring, to boot.

'sif it will ever happen though....

I think some enterprising modder(s) will port Fo76's world into Fo4. Well, I hope at least that happens, would be grouse if they can fill it up with interesting NPCs and story.

My bet is fo76 will be free to play before easter. It's sad that its 2018 and bethesda still think it's ok to release buggy pos alpha games like this. Especially charging full AAA price for what is really an early access game.

And it's slowly getting better too, in terms of stability and bug fixes. Still not up to an expected quality full release, but it'll be there soon enough. A lesson here in never buying games on release!
