Working on it for 8 months, yeah ill give it a go again as a free week.
Every now and again I play it, not as bad as some think now, but still has a long way to go. They released as a beta, and we thought it would change on retail release, it did not, they should have told us the truth and game should have been priced much lower, as an incomplete game. Still play it with friends.
When you put all their stuff ups into video it looks bad
The game has dramatically improved since release, with lots of new content now, HOWEVER. There are new and old bugs that frankly are just annoying as fuck. I play this every day, have about 1,300 hours into it now and I still can't *fully* recommend it to anyone, unless they're a Fallout addict like me. Totally playable, but not the smoothest online experience out there.
Nuclear Wasteland seems to be an interesting turn for the series, but it is a completely optional BR mode. The Adventure and Survival modes are still the main aspects and the up coming Wastelanders DLC series should drastically change the game again with human NPCs, new questlines and dialogue trees.
Just watch out for the game breaking bugs every now and then.
i really want it, but dont wanna pay more than $20 for it
Thing is people were crying for a multiplayer fallout. What got released is what they deserve.
If you look around you can get this game for very cheap.
Free trial week started last night, so you can give it a go and see if you enjoy it what it brings.
I haven't tried the Battle Royale mode yet, but I've heard good things about it.
$24 AUD on key sites, activates in the Bethesda launcher... 60GB download though!
OMG NOT ANOTHER LAUNCHER!?
So Bethesda are introducing a radical new game concept. There will be human characters that are non-playable that you can actually talk to and they have back-stories and can even talk back! Wow! What visionaries! I think they should call them NPCs which stands for something like non-playable character... or something like that.
its $30 at eb atm
Yea, people wanted it in 3, nv and fo4. They had it running in house but were never able to make it viable for release. This though is what was viable.
When you say people do you mean fans or the devs? Because most fans I know thought even co-op would be detrimental to the fallout experience.
There are actually positive review videos, since BR release:
Who the fuck is even going to play Fallout BR? Clunky garbage. Will be dead in a week if it isn't already.
Seems to be pretty popular at the moment, but it is the free week trial right now. We'll see if or how it lasts.
My mate and I have been running through this week. Having a fair bit of fun. Its nice to explore with someone. Doesn't seem awful. It runs like garbage though.
Has this game improved very much, bug wise? I am thinking about getting it and trying it out. Loved Fallout 4 and all the additional content it had.
If you're a Fallout addict and enjoyed Fo4, then you good chances are that you will enjoy this game.
Since my last post, the game has improved a lot more stability wise. Not much more content has released since then, but everyone seems to be waiting in anticipation for the next season of updates called Wastelanders.
Wastelanders should start next month at the earliest and with HUMAN npcs and an updated main questline incoming, it should change things up drastically.
