We've gone from Fallout: New Vegas to Fallout 76: New Monetization.

Probably a cash grab. Another year or two till Starfield, maybe a year after that for TES6. Doom eternal is the only Zenimax published title that's coming any time soon aside from the ESO expansion.

I wish people would stop saying Outer Worlds is NV devs. None of the project leads, designers, writers or anyone important worked on NV. Yes it's Obsidian but it's not the same team.

Have you been watching the early access streams? If you like Fallout you will absolutely love Outer Worlds.

Yes I've followed it closely. No I don't love it, at all. I'll probably play it when it's $20 on sale or something.

$180 a year. Well it puts the $240 a year for Uplay+ into perspective.

The gall here is an all timer, I'm looking forward to and terrified by what will top this.

Outer worlds is far less open world then fallout, its more like mass effect.

Its just way less buggy and more polished.

Big yikes from me. Zero interest in a paid sub in a game still so buggy and featureless. I haven't spent a single cent on this game apart from the two copies of the game I got since launch and I never will, from the looks of it.

BUT speaking of Outerworlds, you can get Xbox Gamepass for PC for $1 for the first month and get access to that game, plus around 147 more. $5 A month after that, but that alone is worth so much more value than this pathetic sub for Fallout 76.

Looks like the final nail in the coffin. The game had some promise, but it seems like they can't help but self-sabotage it now.

Seems like they've pretty much torched what active community they had left.

Did you get your refund yet? Also, leak suggests more features will be paywalled soon:

You know, it's crazy.. I told my mum it was an industry shit show of a buggy piece of shit etc on launch but she just bought 3 copies for her fiance, my brother and sister.. just because the fiance liked Fallout 4. Consumers literally cannot and do not give a shit about the differences from game to game in a franchise and will only find out on play. Even then, they're fucking playing it and the feedback was basically just 'there aren't any quests, i don't like it as much'. WTF.

I begin to understand why they just do this stuff regardless of the 'industry news' and shit. It's so unlikely it actually hits your average consumer. They just go 'oh ok, this is normal' and probably pay the sub.
