Beverly Hills 90210
got the email asking if i wanted to be a beta tester today.... just pre-order here...... yeah nah, i'll pass on that
Is this pure MMO?
More. Importantly is do I get to drive cars with lots of guns on them? Will it get a sequel based in 82?
Does anyone even remember that game ?
I remember loading up a station with about 7 machine guns and just going nuts. I also remember some stupid dream/race mission I could never beat.
Back on topic I've seen a couple more ad videos and it seems VERY focused on the building element again
Interstate 76 is the best vehicle combat game ever made period!!!!
Nope, it's like an extended battle royale. You build a base, do some missions, get randomised clues that give you the ability to launch a nuke which turns that area on the map into a high level loot/quest zone, repeat.. not sure if the map wipes clean and at what point but that's the gameplay loop in my head from watching all the content.
Seems kinda cool if it's executed well and the combat is good. Obviously they have IDsoftware for help and have had their help lately.. so hoping for the best. I'm tentatively a purchase at this point.
Is there a single player mode?
It's not a traditional Fallout game. Do NOT go into this with the previous games in mind. It's a multiplayer gameplay focused Fallout. There are no human NPCs, however they are some ghouls npcs that give quests. But they're related to the multiplayer progression from what I understand. I mean you can play it solo but you'll have to ignore other players.. maybe it's comparable to playing Rust or Minecraft solo. There are huge advantages to playing with others. I'm not sure about an offline/actual solo mode.. but it's not a Fallout RPG.
They have? id is working on Doom eternal and helping Avalanche with Rage 2. Afaik they have nothing to do with Fallout 76.
I'm not saying id have resources assigned to FO76 but Bethesda has publicly claimed they had id's help for FO4 and I see zero reason to not think they'd continue to be available for brain picking and questions in the least.
Sorry I didn't know they'd said that id had helped with anything.
I think they are using Id’s quake netcode to build there online component for there engine and so would have had help during this process.
Tha bbn is for summing it up. Not a fallout I'll be purchasing/playing
I think it has the potential to be really fun. It's a unique gameplay loop. I really like the idea of choosing where you nuke and depending on where you nuke, you get different quest and loot outcomes. Not sure about longevity of the idea but I'm interested to see what it's like. I understand people might be disappointed about it not being a Fallout RPG title. Starfield and Elderscrolls on the distant horizon though.
Be good if they had an ID software engine as fo4 engine is clunky and unoptimised
