fan timers

    My suggestion was to install this unit in the ceiling next to the fan/light where active, switched active and neutral is available and leave the switch unchanged (and avoiding pulling any new wire):

    Consider buying a fan that is either remote controlled (with timer settings) or one that has a humidity/temperature sensor that turns itself on/off so kids don't need to turn it on in the first place. Plenty of them around, we have one as a ventilator for under the house.
