Possible a thread already exists (?), three character search restriction isn't overly helpful here.

Anyways, more information coming soon (July 12) on the sixth in the series.

Still waiting for them to return to the "roots" of the original.

Though I am interested, I have no hope for this series to return to the 'roots' of the original (which for me is still such a great game). The franchise is too heavily trenched in Ubisofts framework of developing open world games. Fun at first but then gets seriously repeatative and at times monotonous. Unless they seriously work on the AI and deliver something vastly different other than something almost a reskin of the previous,... I'd probably still buy it in the bargain bin a year after release :D

Gotta agree with breno the last 3 iterations have been great, OK and knit-one-pearl-one repetition. FC2 was a great game and FC3 was different enough for me to get a couple of replays. FC 4/5 not so much for me. I’d love FC6 to properly reset that feeling of free roam semi-linear gameplay that FC2 was great at.

It peaked at #2. I will say #3 has its high points, but I haven't finished it yet because it doesn't have the same hook, and frankly I am sorely tempted to return to #2.

It's apparently going to be based in some kind of South/Central American fantasy country (going back to the "fictional nation" setting every game but FC 5 has done) and involve narco groups.. so if Mr Gus Fring is involved this as a high level bad guy this could end up being a spiritual prequel to Breaking Bad (with the exception that you probably kill the dude at the end).

I'll probably buy it because I'm a whore for open world shooters.

Far Cry 5 had so much potential ruined mainly by horrible annoying AI and encounters. Preferred FC4.

Will def avoid preorder and see how it plays out.

It'll just be a cut and paste of the last 4 games.

Vas was the last memorable character of the series, and i really enjoy 1.

Might buy it on special as the series hasnt wow'd me in the last few games

You don't think Pagan Min was memorable? Or Joe Seed?

Best of the series for my taste, he was truly cunning and batshit crazy all at once.

Very much voiced above and beyond the character by the actor I think.

Too BioShock Infinite for me (the character and the game's story arc). Also too many real life stories which are too close, to make him different enough to be interesting.

If they don't remove the head bobs or at least add an option to remove it, i'm afraid i won't buy this. So many games have this option but not farcry. Made it so hard to play even though i want to play it. Get motion sickness after 30min is not fun.

Far Cry has always had multiplayer, just not expansive big multiplayer features. If you want multiplayer go play Fortnite or COD. Far Cry is all about the open world single player experience, so sick of traditional single player games focusing on the 12 year old "I fucked your mum" experience.

Not a chance in hell. But if they asked for a donation i would gladly.
I am always happy to pay for add-free, the worst is apps that don't have that option, oh we are free and the ads pay for it, no let me pay, I hate ads.

As long as they get rid of the retarded dream sequence parts where you usually have to do some task in a set time.

Yum. I loved 3,4,5. Primal not as much, and new dawn even less. Every Ubi open world I've played lately though feels like exactly the same game just with a different skin lol. They all start out seeming delicious and then a few hours in become the exact same grind of taking bases with minimal challenge and usually the same cheese tactic able to be used for each with useless enemy AI.

I'll still pre order this for sure though, hoping for some more of the goodness that was 3, 4 and 5

Liked 5 as much as 3 and 4? For me it was annoying every 30 seconds on side of road was someone being held hostage or some enemy who somehow knew from 50m away in the same car everyone else had, your the bad guy. So annoying. I just wanna get where I wanna go without 9 shoot-outs.

4 also had what felt like more acrobatic and enjoyable base clearing.

I've played, enjoyed and finished every FC game except 2 and Primal. Hope they keep to what makes FC good and the fans coming back.
