Approx 7pm AEST at least, I'd say.

Most new content comes out around that time (eg: halo 3 maps).

man every goddam day since the new football season has kicked off i have been thinking about buying fifa 10.

seeing that list and finally being able to control the power and height of shots and adding 360deg dribbling is seksual.

I'm hoping that the demo will support online play. Online play in a demo is slightly becoming more frequent. I can only hope...

nobody really uses special moves. I tried few moves but ppl just hold on to the PRESS key and charge you and tackle you. So there's no point in doing it IMO.

First OCAU FIFA 10 Demo review.

This review will progressively get longer as I add more information.

Ok. First thing I said when I entered the arena was, "wow".

Graphics look alot better than 09.

Gameplay looks & feels fluent. However, the so called 360 degree control, hmmm, dunno whether I'm sold on that. Granted yes, the ball control seems improved.

Still fiddling in the arena, chip shots seem to be 'helium filled', however, a direct cross at the goal (not across the goal, at the goal, looking directly at the keeper) produces some good alternatives to chipping the keeper. A well timed cross (eg: outside the 18 yard box) looks like it'll get the keeper too far off his line every time.

Shooting is pretty much the same. Using the finesse button adds more 'wow factor' to your shot, like some stunning curl on the ball for example.

Looks like all the tricks are the same (I don't use them anyway).

Running with the ball appears better. If you put the slightest angle on the right stick, it changes your run in that direction, by the amount you've moved the stick. That might be part of the 360 degree control, I dunno.

I've only played 1 game so far (1-0 win - Barca Vs Chelsea). I scored off a penalty, so I haven't experienced the full shooting glory yet. I'll try local MP aswell, sadly no online MP.

If your a soccer fan, your an absolute fool not to even download the demo, let alone buy the game when it comes out.

Ok, after a few local MP games, my first words were... well, more "wow's".

We came across our first 'quick free kick moment'. Basically, if the player gets fouled & the ball hardly gets anywhere, the ref blows his whistle for the free kick, the fouled player gets up, stops the ball rolling with his hand, your other players make a run up the pitch for the quick free kick & then you take the kick.

This game so far is top fucking notch.

I haven't seen anything 'platform' specific, whether it be 360/PS3 etc etc.

It simply might not be up on the server yet. Can you clear the PS3's cache? If you can, try it & see.

Yeah I didnt notice too many overly big changes however the game does seem to flow nicely. I do like the action on the ball with the fighting for possession, and the 360 dribbling seems alright.

One issue i found and this might just be the demo but the commentary is horrible inaccurate. I scored an opener in the 5th minute or so and i got a "and thats his 2nd goal, marvelous strike again" as well as a few other inconsistencies. I normally only play in be-a-pro so still eagerly awaiting the full release :)

So... you still can't have thunderbolt goals from outside the 18 yard box? I've scored probably 2 goals from outside the 18 yard box in fifa 09 because the only way to keep the ball down is to tap the shoot button.

    Is there something im missing?
