Yeah that's the one. So so boring but it's good xp so I mostly put a movie on my second screen then aoe everything till its done lol
Right. I've had some mates have luck with a VPN, which is not ideal, but might work. Also, there's a hotfix underway right now, so that *could* fix it, because a lot of people had the issue. Try again in 1h20.
Sorry, that sounds frustrating. I know friends have had luck using VPNs, so that's a good last resort, but it's very strange.
tried vpn tried different computer desktop and laptop tried different internet telstra fibre/ telstra mobile vodafone mobile tried different dns tried forwarding ports instructed by square enix support
uninstall -> reinstall, had to do that a couple of times over the years for the same issue. either that or wait for them to fix it
Anyone still playing this? Decided to give it another go with the latest patch supposedly reducing the leveling grind. Seems to be quicker leveling now and that is only doing main story/class quests, but only on lvl 20 so far.
Playing it heavily. Just beat the new extreme primal fight. (with minimum ilvl sync, hehe) Hit me up if you need anything.
Cool, will keep in mind. Also in case anyone else is interested in playing the free trial is now level cap of 60 which covers the base game and first expansion Heavensward.
And equally importantly, they streamlined the level 1-50 story quests, so the pacing should be way better. They just added flying to old zones, too.
Yep I'm still playing. I personally don't do any raids other than what is in duty finder. I'm sad the current xpac MSQ is done now which means Shadowbringers is technically done now. It's going to be super hard for them to top this xpac it was by far the most enjoyable one I've played so far but I'm excited to see what comes next
There does seem to an abundance of dungeons to run but i am currently only doing them as required for main story quests as i level up. There is no communication with other players in pugs even when i mention first time through, which suprised me at first. i assume some of it is because they don't speak much English. So far most have been pretty straight forward thankfully. Haven't even finished ARR yet so can't comment on xpacs yet.
JP Pugs are pretty polite, but not chatty if you speak a different language. Don't mistake their silence for ignoring you, if you said {This is my first time here} or {I'm inexperienced} using autotranslate, they will adjust to your pace (esp if tank/healer) ENG players will often chat, but they often won't check to see if you're english-speaking. Once you get into an FC, that's where the social aspect is. Grats on hitting Lv 35 and unlocking SCH/SMN.
Just need to lookup the details for each dungeon before queing. In other MMo's players tend to mention important tactics/placement in chat if you are new to dungeon. Are there any good sites for Oceanic guild recruiting? Thanks, should hit 50 in the next couple of days hopefully. Unfortunately can't swap between SMN and SCH in combat. Healer dc'd middle of a boss fight and all i could do was spam the single SMN heal to keep other members up. Luckily healer came back after a min or 2 as was losing the battle to keep them both alive.
Fair enough. You can check if the players are ENG, if so, they should answer you. There's also this mentality of letting people learn by doing and failing, rather than telling them exactly what to do and getting mad if they fail it. People will rarely tell you unless you ask. Yeah, there are a few jobs that can kind of step in for a healer (RDM, PLD and to a lesser extent DNC and WAR), but you can't switch between mid combat. Also the SMN heal becomes useless pretty soon because it scales off MND, which you don't get much more of on SMN.
