A few XMAS’s back my wife followed James Mays advice and got me a Train Set for XMAS.

I started to build a terrain but put the project on hold when we moved house. These holidays I am going to finish it off.

Thinking of adding in a small Shawn the Sheep village in the middle for my 2yo son to admire in a few years.

Nice work. I always like seeing miniatures WIP.
Are you going to finish the edge around the tunnel entrances with some stonework or similar?

Awesome work - love this stuff! Wonder if the young bloke will ever get to play with it or will Dad have to "demonstrate" all the time ? :)

I have the same (though, older) Flying Scottsman set. Bought it a good 12 years ago i think, very nice loco...need to get it out of its box and give it a run...

might even look into chipping it :p

very nice work on the layout.

    you're running DC i assume?

Just had a great idea to paper mâché a volcano in the corner and have a slot to slide in an iPhone into the crater (that old plays a video/sound of lava) and maybe a vertical slot for an iPad that plays smoke/lava debris coming out the top :)

Personally a volcano would ruin the layout's "Realistic feel" but that's just my thoughts
