Might be a tough one, but maybe try and push the car a bit and get some motion blur with a slower shutter speed (and less flash light).

You might also need to shoot with a smaller aperture, so at least the whole car is in focus.

Also, try not to crop the back of the car out, as it's the main subject of the photo.

Thanks for the feedback mate. I've retaken the shot to have the main subject in focus. Tried pushing the car along but couldn't get the motion blur to work properly. Will attempt again tomorrow.

I'll post up a remake soon.

Try attaching some fishing line to the car and pulling it along and having a longer exposure..

actually, i think it's close to impossible to get motion blur if u use flash as the main source of light is the flash.

Depends on what the ambient light is like in the room, if there's abit, you'll get the motion blur, but will also have the car in focus. I'd like to see the left flash lifted up off the table abit, i find the super long flash in front of the main car to be a little distracting, but other than that and the other comments made, it has potential.

    Hey guys,

Here's the re-shot with incorporating your suggestions. I've shot with a smaller aperture (F5) to get the main car in focus. This also brings the background cars into focus too making it a bit easier to tell what the are

I tried getting motion blur but it was next to impossible, even with shutter speed down to 1/8 so maybe i'll try again with ambient light. These shots were done in complete darkness with only the strobes for light.

I'm only a beginner with strobing myself but I'll chime in anyway. The scene is nicely set up but the lighting gives me the feeling that if the cars were real they would have their lights on (at least the front one) in this situation. It makes it all seem slightly unnatural IMO.

I don't know how you could simulate lights though. Perhaps reflective tape? I'm sure others will offer up some suggestions.

EDIT: The cars in the background also appear to be a bit close to each other. Perhaps they should be spaced slightly further apart.
