Looks like fairly standard burger fare. There's an awesome burger joint here called Carney and Earles who do some of the best greasy american style burgers I've had, but I reserve them solely for hangovers! I also love Grill'd but haven't been for nearly 5 years as there isn't one here. Used to love it when I lived in Sydney.

    Chik-fil-A gets second
    Five guys is third

In n out beats all comers. There might be better burgers but nothing beats tthem bang for buck.

Gordon Ramsey's Burgrr in Las Vegas... single best burger I've ever eaten, cost me the equivalent of $45 AU for what was essentially a cheese burger though..

Fair call. I didn't mind Chick'fil'A but doesn't rate as high for me - possibly cos I am not as into chicken in a burger as beef.

I guess what I would say about In'N'Out and Five Guys is that they are the best of the fast food style burger joints. I don't really compare them to your more gourmet establishments like Grill'd.

I'd kill for a Double Double Animal Style right now.. :upset::weirdo:

I thought the whole burger thing had well and truly ran out of steam (some have made hay while the sun shone - like Grill'd and Burger Urge - despite serving pretty average stuff), because there is a burger place on every other corner now and there isnt a lot of difference from one to the other. I noticed Vietnamese is going through a bit of renaissance too lately with Pho and Bahn Mi joints popping up, despite always being there anyway. However this is big news, Five Guys is actually quality shit and head and shoulders above anything else i had in America aside from In 'N' Out (some people carry on that it's no good, but seriously, come at me).

I have no idea how Grill'd survives with its low fat/no taste burgers. Yeah, Mcdonalds burgers make me feel sick, but at least I feel something, not $20 to somehow feel more empty than before

They're not that big either... can down two. I found another place in the city that is better than their burgers for only $13.00 for a burger combo, including chips and drink... it's not a chain though.

For an AU chain, Getta Burger beats both Grill'd and Burger Urge. And even then they're not that great.

Five Guys are decent and it will be good to see them down here.

Of course if you're in Brisbane, the only place you should be going is Jack & Will's. Make sure to have one of their 10,000cal cake shakes too.

Yup, 5 Guys was pretty good, but harder to find, and a bit pricier, from memory. In 'n' Out was just amazing for the money. It's not the best burger you can buy, but it sure is hands down the best in it's price range, and punches above its weight a bit, too.

Still, I'll take 5 Guys over whats generally in Aus for chain burger joints.

    Z...

Shit, I didn't realise they'd opened a physical storefront, I'd only had them from UberEats, good tip.

Don't need a shitload of grease, cheese and sauce to make a burger taste good. Unless Grill'd have seriously gone downhill in the last 5 years they were very tasty back then. I do know other weirdo's that don't like them because they're not grease bombs though.

Grilld used to be "healthy burgers" which they were to some extent, it was basically low sugar and fresh ingredients.

I think around 3 years ago they changed their recipes, they now hide a lot of sugar in their burgers under the disguise of "herbed mayo and relish", which is now in most of their burgers where it was not before. We also don't know if their burgers even taste good anymore because of this. I personally rate them the lowest of all burger places for taste, I only went there for the healthy aspect.

The last straw for me was trying to go to grilld and being told that I couldn't order a normal burger because they now have vegan only days where you have to get the vegan patty.

Mcdonalds burgers are now healthier then grilld.
