I was loitering infront of Flinders Street Station stalking the punters. I'm assuming that due to the shitty weather, there were less shitfaced people compared to last year :upset:

    Thanks for looking.
Pentax K-7 and the 16-45. It was drizzling and didn't feel like carrying around the primes.

it was melbourne cup.. one of the very few days when photographers can get away with bloody murder.

they're all drunk and are generally in good spirits (except for #7). i think she lost $$$$$$

Costa has some good shots (he's starting to upload..)

Thanks buddy. #7 was indeed pissed off, In this shot, you can see her hand was on the way up. She blocked my camera.
I tried to be cordial and asked her, 'Did you have a good day? Did you win?', I guess someone else saw what happened (her hand blocking my lens) and they yelled, 'she must have lost a lot of money!'
She scowled even more.. what a sourpuss :o

melbourne cup is different, people generally do not care about photographers.

if you haven't shot candids of random strangers before, you just need to overcome the initial apprehension (easier said than done). I first started with a 70-300, then moved to a 50, and now with either a 15mm or 35mm.

unfortunately, i've started a diy home reno and most of my weekends are booked out. :upset:
