Well after over 2 years of waiting, there is finally a release date. Sometime during this month it will be released, it appears they are trying to get in before valve release TF2.

Can't wait to give this a go, as ive been a strong player of tfc for years

That's come a long way since the last time I viewed the project. You've got me interested too now. :)

EDIT: This mod, it's free right?

Yeah, its free. It was in development way before TF2 was announced (well the version that it is now). Personally, i think FF will be better than TF2, but everyone will play TF2 regardless.

These fellas should have closed shop when TF2 was announced, looks like a big fail.

And waste all their hard work? Heaps was done well before the current version of TF2 was announced. There may be people in their dev team who will use the work in their portfolios or whatnot to get jobs with game companies. Usually thats the main reason why mods come out even when they face unbeatable competition.

Why not move onto something more unique instead of a rehash of an old game? And when TF2 was announced they had barely anything done, i even remember reading the forum post considering if they were going to continue with the project. If i was in there situation i would have moved the project in another direction or moved on.

It's just taken way to long. Looking at their media section it hasn't really changed that much since I looked a long time ago. To make it any kind of hit, it should have been out a year ago.

Shame, a lot of work has gone into it I'm sure, but the timing is just crap.

just watched the start of a youtube vid, looks exactly like tfc

may be enough of a change for the current tfc players to adopt. frankly based on what ive just seen I wont even bother downloading it.

TF2 was announced how many years ago ?

And they've beaten TF2 to release by how long ?

I'm as eager as anyone for TF2, but seriously, after HL2's delays, anything is possible for TF2

I feel much the same way. I was *really* looking forward to FF, and I still am. It should have been released a long time ago if it was to ever gain any momentum against TF2. None the less, I'm excited.

Wrong attitude. They are focussing mor eon the classic TF play rather than its diet coke TFC cousin.

Funny that, from the videos it looks like they are trying to get the TFC feel to it, most of the maps are a rehash too.

Having a deathwish on this mod is just unfair. They started developing it when TF2 was vaporware, no-one beleived it would ever come out, nor did anyone beleive it would be anything like the form it is now. If they hadve released it ages ago, it wouldve been shit and no-one wouldve played it anyway. People cant just make mods like this in 6 months.

Yeah if its out as they say by the end of September I'll be quite happy, but as I said before they also promised a release date of late 2006 so we'll wait and see

    Can't wait either way!
