the build of windows borked my partial download so I left the download going on xbone on to get the game somewhere at least, maybe next week for sometime for PC
I got mine from cdkeys.com - $77.89 Installed this afternoon as soon as I got home from work as I have nothing to play at the moment (actually finished everything I had installed), and waiting for Bops4/Bfv/WW3. Played approx. 1.5 hours so far and thoroughly enjoying it. Just playing it as what it is, an arcade racer. Using an xbone controller on PC and found a good youtube vid to help set up the deadzones so it feels a bit better than out the box. I must say all graphics on ultra looks very nice.
Great game, only thing i just cant stand is that they made the person you play a mute... It's just so strange to watch all the scenes with people talking to your character at the festival and them just sitting there like they're a complete brain dead child nodding and smiling
how well does the game run compared to horizon 3? concerned about how my gtx970 will stand up, performance was OK but not amazing in forza 3 so if this needs much more grunt I may hold off until I upgrade.
I've found I'm sticking to 1 car.. is this normal? Having never played any of the other Forza games I was hoping i'd have more variety. Am i only getting access to off-road races because I'm using the WRX? Also - fantastic port, my 1080ti is loving it on Ultra, wish i had a controller though.. hard left and hard right might be ruining the experience for me
It's a sandbox game play how you want. The races will for the most part adjust to match the car you drive. What might be a rally for awd cars only will change if you rock up in a rwd supercar. Some events are static though and have a set requirement. Though events that have off-road sections it's best to stick to awd. Mix it up and grab another awd car it's good fun. I like to tune them to top of their class so if it's a C class I'll max it at C. Also ensure you have all assists off for best experience (tho I keep abs and braking indicators on). And yes get xbox controller and also turn off steering and acceleration dead zones in options.
So been playing abit (on both PC and Xbox) with both wheel and controller. So far I'm incredibly impressed! It's amazing! Looks absolutely stunning, and the racing is so comfortable! HOWEVER, On Xbox, I've noticed some tearing/stuttering when playing at 1440p. Haven't gone above 1080p on the PC, because I'm not sure how it'll go... But it's a bit of an irritant. Also, driving on anything other than bitumen is FUCKING NUTS! First time I did it on the wheel I lost my shit! (In a good way) IT WAS SO FUN!
The cross country events are so fun eh.. How r u running at 1440p on Xbox? Hope you got traction control and stability control off makes it the most fun.
Do it.. Nothing beats some sick understeer. Didn't know they did custom Res thought just 1080p or 4k or so (if one X)
Doesn't it just show as whatever res you set your xbox to? It didn't look 1080p. If not, will need to take a closer look.
Games will vary on Res. The Res you set in xbox options is more for the UI. The xbox one S is no more grunty then base xbox one so I would say it's 1080p 30fps. They do a good job with AA though and some TV's upscale well.
Ahh ok. I decided to go with Xbox mostly so I don't need to fight with quality (dips in FPS etc). And honestly, just easier to manage. My monitor that I use is 1440p, so it's a little disappointing the Xbox S can't take advantage of that for gameplay...
