Micro stutters gone?
After FH3 I almost laughed when FM7 demo had the same issue.
Almost laughed, but didn't.
I tried the new driver and still stutters so it's a game issue.
I bought it through the store on my xbox so that still doesn't seem to make sense..
I installed the new driver. I did not fix the stutters issue but it is reduced. Only one or two during a 15 min race instead of 2-3 per lap. You have to play this game with rewind on, cause it always stutters right when you are about to go into a tight corner.
The main problem is that you don't get rewind on the last few corners of a race, and so you have to take them real slow just in case it pauses.
I am thinking if they patch the only runs on one CPU core thing it might really help.
And why it's still a game issue. I dislike the idea that only 1/8th of my CPU threads are being used.
Oh, I see my game got updated with a new patch. Let's see what it does.
It seems they mainly fixed the glitch, but did not really punish anyone for doing it. Something about PC stability fixes, which if it means it does not crash in the middle of a race that would be great.
still stutters in the usual places....nothing really notable.
It seems to boot up faster for me. 30 seconds instead of 2 minutes. That is something at least.
The track load times are still atrocious. How Project Cars 2 can load a track in 20-30 seconds while it can take 2-3 min for Forza 7 is beyond me.
What's your RAM usage? For me it's between 10-12gb after 2 races. VRAM usage sits pretty at 4.4gb.
Mine never goes past about 8.5gb even after a few races. V ram I never bothered to check. I run on a 1080P screen (about a meter from my face). I have everything maxed (manually in the video settings), and V sync off.
What is up with the AI though. In Forza 6 you could actually do some close racing, but in Forza 7, they are so instant on taking the one line, that even if I am 90% past them in a corner, they will just spin me out because I am on the one racing line they are programmed to take.
When will they fix the compatibility with my Fanatec CSL? I have to put it into Club sport compatibility mode for it to work with Forza 7.
I'm mostly maxed out at 1440p with MSAA at 2x and AF at 8x....very odd.
I hope they invest the time to patch how stuttery this thing is.
The driving itself is quite entertaining, and the race variety is decent.
At the moment, it's not worth the investment but I think it could be if performance/features are patched (i.e. bring back easy hot lapping)
I've yet to see any stuttering.. that said running a 6700k @ 4.5, 1080ti and a 1tb 950 evo.. on a 55" 4k oled..
Beautiful game and that's about it hehe
I have it capped @ 60fps and on some tracks it feels maybe 50fps, not too bad..
My biggest gripe is the multiplayer, or at least the browser for it.. couldnt see a way to drift online or drag race?
Can’t believe how hard test drive access is - I miss basic hotlapping to randoms on leaderboards!
most of my races feel like 60fps. I've yet to try MP because I'm making my way through the career mode.
Finally they fixed the CPU thread optimization so it's using all the cores now
I am still getting crashes though. Probably more than before the last patch. I have pretty much given up on Fortza 7 at this stage.
