First up, i am in no way shape or form associated with the sale or advertisement, nor will i be receiving any monies for products or information, nor profiting in any tangible manner. I'm here because i wanted to share the information with a community that has afforded me many opportunities. Knowing they'll find good homes is my sole benefit from sharing this here.

I'm hoping this is ok here (I've learned the hard way that the For Sale section certainly isn't the place because i wanted to share this find with some people who would appreciate the rarity of these devices, let alone for the price i paid.

To be as fair as possible, rather than dumping a link and letting first in take all 4, i'd like 4 honest individuals (If you don't hold up your end, those that follow know who to blame), and preferably people who would most benefit from the financial entry point here, because if you're willing to drop $3-500 you can buy one every day of the week. I myself didn't have the money to spend but did anyway! I couldn't pass up a unicorn I could touch, whilst struggling to solve a Mini build problem, and starting another Mini project slowly over the other side. to post in this thread staking intention to claim, then shoot me a PM.

So Reply to this thread staking your intent/desire to claim and either shoot me a PM, or await me sending you one. To be clear, this thread is "the ledger" by which first 4 will be determine, don't just PM me. I'd like this to be as transparent as possible.

If you wish to comment without claiming, i encourage you to do so, but simply dont ask for one!

I will endeavour to get to each person as promptly as i can to minimise the risk of them being sold prior.

    ENJOY!

¹ 4 being the number available at the time of this post. I cannot control external influences, so apologies if you're expecting and miss out.

Just for clarities sake, did you purchase four of these devices and are now wanting to sell them on application from potential buyers?

Or did you purchase one for yourself, and you're interested in sharing a link to where four others could be purchased, but only to people who apply to receive the information?

Edit: And just for clarities sake, I only saw this thread as I was looking for the mITX owners club thread somewhere on the forums and saw your thread.

Option 2 100%. I tried to make that part crystal clear. And id love for there to be a fair manner to do so without me playing information middleman - because it sends a message undertone that is the complete opposite of my intention.

I wae going to tag you to get your blessing first but it was 1am by the time i got it done and I thought it would likely be an after the fact act.

Though (unless you've locked or hidden this post?), based on the lack of enquiry it wasn't much point anyway.

If you have a suggestion you'd prefer, in order to carry out something like this, I'd be happy to hear.

    Thanks

Are they really so popular they need this level of excitement?

I'm unsure what excitement you possibly would have garnished, but given that I exerted little to none, I'm really unsure what your actual question is. I also don't know what the problem seems to be, or whether the passive aggression is valid when you're unfamiliar with the subject matter of your own rhetoric.

Consider the sub-forum you're in - just asking the question tells me this post isn't for you.

Whether I answer Yes or No, the resultant outcome is unchanged. So, was the TC worthwhile?

Nasha maybe just post the link here and people can look if they want. At the moment there's no specs or details to show whether it's a good deal or not. If you want to do something nice for the community (which it looks like you're doing), just post the link here as an FYI and people can take a look and say thanks if they go through with the purchase.

I'm going to have to assume these are some particularly good spec for the price? There's some on a really searchable marketplace for $200 right now so not sure if overall this is quite worth the secret squirrel going on here.

I think you misunderstood my post man, wasn't being passive aggressive at all, sorry if it came across that way! Good on you for trying to share with OCAU :)

Was just trying to learn what's so great about these (as you didn't post the specs) that made them so cool!

Just post the links Nasha I don't know what you stand to gain by dangling the information. It's nice you're wanting to share the info, but you should actually share it.

Sorry man, i think you caught me at the wrong time or vice versa. I didn't mean to jump on you like that, let alone the fact it wasn't warranted.

Ive obviously over-estimated the collective knowledge of users who frequent this sub, because not just yourself , but others along with the general lack od resoinse tells me that the number of users who know the 1. Specs 2. What sets it apart 3. It's rarified air status. 4. The cost.

So these are few and far between as it is, but when you fo find one it's usually in the range of $3-500

Fair game, those ones I saw this morning have been sold, and also revisiting it they weren't from an Australian seller.

(on a side note at the risk of showing ignorance I thought they were pretty crap, bare refurb with a G5400T, I don't think it's a spec to be gushing over compared to other Tiny variants)

ED- actually that's bizzare, according to ebay they were delisted 11th of feb...

I am ignorant of the M720q's special sauce, perhaps after you've managed to connect those in the know with the great deals you could share what that is with me?

Those get kicked around because they ARE crap, I dont see many for sale in Aus. Regardless, it's not the CPU that makes this a 1 of 5 model numbers in the whole 1L form factor that contains a PCIe slot (all 5 are lenovo, the other 4 are much less common again)

You approved to begin with, hence it survives, so what exactly is wrong with adhering to what was said? And why the ongoing special attention?

No matter how many times you make the suggestion, it's not going to make me any more likely to comply.

Just close the thread if you're suddenly so abject to its contents

Thanks for the enlightenment, and good luck with getting those in the need and know with your find.

Not looking to buy but got curious about the machines - here are some photos of someone adding a SFP NIC and an extra NVME drive on an SSD adaptor to it (as extra to the base machine)... neat

I'm seeing three listings for M720Qs with 8400T or 8500T under $299 on eBay at the minute.
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/186668177699
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/335870550678
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/286400286328

It seems like a neat machine but unless it's one of the more grunty variants it's probably not for me. (I do need to replace my ailing fuzz box but it's hard to justify.)

M900 ≠ M920q but thanks again for the valued input.

THE listing is the cheapest of those 3, another is out of stock (with good reason). Bear in mind this is days AFTER I posted this, where vendors are reacting OR we (Australia) received a bunch of fresh stock that got bought up.
