I think it's Bru, but I digress
Isn't that what you drink in Scotland watching Netflix?
EDIT - Free Binge for Telstra customers
I had to add multiscreen, can’t do without it now, so added last night.
It’s what happen when you get beached az.
Under the threat of leaving, Just negotiated another 6 mo of the above for still $49
I hate how they have re-worked their packages relatively recently. When I look at what I have now and what I would gain/lose if I transitioned to their new packages for the same price I would love all the "favourites" channels I have now. What a rip. So I'll keep going with what I have.
Moving into a new house with a second living area, so getting a new 2nd new TV. Will be a big 4K one with built in chromecast.
Obviously I'd love foxtel on the second TV, to watch cricket when the missus doesn't want to etc.
So, Foxtel have quoted me insane amounts to get a 2nd box. $150 just for the box, $100 for the tech to run the cable to 2nd living space and then a $25/m recurring fee... Am I better off just adding 'multiroom' for $8/month and just streaming foxtel on the new TV?
Foxtel Now Box $49 + Delivery @ JB Hi-Fi
According to new data from Roy Morgan Research, Foxtel added 658,000 new subscribers in the three months to May 2020, taking numbers back above February 2018 levels
A little surprising
But then this..................................
Haha! I said I was a little surprised
Lies, damned lies, and statistics
my Foxtel arrangement is coming to an end
i suppose i'll get Kayo, as i need live sports
but is Disney+ worth getting?
what about Stan?
already have Netflix
what about Amazon Prime?
Amazon Prime, at $60 for a year with shipping perks too: yes
Stan, at ~$14 a month: probably - try it and see.
Disney+, at $9: if you have kids, yes. Otherwise, no.
And Binge gives you the best of Foxtel for $14 a month...
can you cancel foxtel via app or without phoning them up?
No. Only Foxtel Now can be cancelled online. This is to enable Foxtel to give you a last ditch pitch to stay, warning of the apocalypse if you cancel...
Have a good look at what Disney+ has. It's not strictly "kids"
True. It's more that the content is pretty thin, rather than the nature of the content. There's enough for kids, but for adults it's underwhelming.
(I'm leeching off a friend's sub. In the several months since it launched, I've only watched The Mandalorian and Hamilton. YMMV of course...)
For sure. Totally agree with Amazon Prime. We watch more there than Netflix these days. And "The Boys" is (almost) back for season 2!
This might be on interest to some if they were in the market for a new tv.....
Free Year of Disney Plus with The Purchase of a TV over 65 Inches @ The Good Guys
